So yesterday on October 3rd, my beloved community had its 11th anniversary ❤ So this picture is my tribute to my community. This community is where I’ve been spending my three years, where I learn, grow, and experience God’s amazing love through His people, and amazed my His works of wonders. Here I know that I will be supported by amazing people whenever I feel down 😊 And here for sure I found my second home. Happy 11th Anniversary Fire Community ! Semoga kita tetap jadi remaja2nya Tuhan yang membawa dampak 😊 dan jadi anak panah yang tepat sasaran !! Keep burning 🔥🔥

from there, the vertical cd sleeve... i made it horizontal...

and simplify the cd holder, into the vector crystal..

  and make the artwork in a3 so the printing would be easier and the result can be on two sides so i dont have to glue the carton and make it thick and many other reason...... the video of the final cd sleeve is on the previous post. or you can click right here.

and then i also made the sticker for the cd and other promotional item

and pin....

and when i first printed the pin... i didn't know what exactly the requirements... so the result is :

so i remade the design :

expand their background and artworks from 5.8cm to 7 cm

retouch again

and check the making process.... and it is really better and cool!!

so after the last post, i would post the progress on how i managed to change the 'crowded' design into something simpler...

i got rid of the crystal design and outlined them

this is the before and after image of my wallpaper...

 and i also adjusted iphone wallpaper so it fits my iPhone 4 wallpaper and the clock on the lock screen doesnt overlap with the background...

but...there's something on the presentation day...

that day, me and my friend kezia was very sick from the morning we got to campus on 7.30... computer graphic class ii should be on class to present my work at 11.30, i went to print my cd sleeve in the morning with kezia and it hasn't finished by then, so i waited there until it finish, and it finishes at 2pm, and we weren't allowed to enter to the classroom due to our lateness.... we were confused to come and didn't bring our cd sleeve print or come late and still bring it...

after that, i'll try to ask my friends to comment my work to see feedbacks and comments because i didn't get that in the class that day, and their feedbacks made me change some major things.. 

and after that day, i refine my work and design...

in the presentation day.... i present the mock up and the image of the cd cover, the mock up, backgrounds in the last post, and shirt and goodie bag :

i printed the mock up on normal hvs paper and glue it with tape, so the result is...... ._.

"i think this is too crowded, i like the shirt and the tote bag more. simple."

do you know why i chose crystal to be the main concept? and stories as the album title?

after i combined all of their songs, i can make the conclusion that the songs tell us stories.. stories of our lives..

because there was a time when one of maximilian members say a quote to me :      

And then jewel become the main concept of the album.

But i feel like there's something missing.. something that more represents the band songs.. so i added an antique paper texture.

and this is the final look i present..

and i presents the band member also in the cd sleeve...

and i retouch & clear their background from a photo and put them inside the diamond or crystal from the background..

then i also shorten and just noted the main idea of their band proflie to put in the cd sleeve... then i made the model template of the cd sleeve.. to be printed and made the mock up.... it is some kind of like this 

so it's time to present the work to my lecturer...

As I have mentioned before, after I have presented my sketches and showed the band profile :

to him to my lecturer, he chose one logo that he likes :

and the artworks...

but that presentation moment, i asked my lecturer this question :

"sir! can i combine these two bands?? i mean.. can i use my friends (maximilian) as the personnel and i use the trees and the wild songs as the album songs?

and he answered.....

"sure. no problem"

AND SOOOO I COMBINE THEM....

Band choosing !!!

So I have two options....

1. The Trees and The Wild

It is an Indonesian band that used to consist of three people and now they added new members to the group and they are now in a group of five. They originated in Bekasi, Indonesia. You will find them if you search their name in Google because they have already visit many European countries. Their genre is Folk. Their songs are niceeee!! Really nice!!! You should try to look up their songs!! The music is greattt

above is The Trees and The Wild moodboard... Actually i have something that's going on my mind that i didn't put in my moodboard.

2. Maximilian

Maximilian is actually not a band. They're actually my friends and I 'borrowed' their name to make a new boy band hahaha... *EHEM* So, Maximilian now is a boy band that sing acapela of Christian songs and they're going to launch a new Christmas album so I'm here to promote their new album.

Computer Graphic Final Project (1)

So Final week has started and we're asked to make some Marketing Kit to promote a CD by some Indie Band we get to choose ourselves.

The major Marketing Kit includes :

CD Sleeve

T-Shirt

Tote bag

Devices Wallpaper

And the optional Marketing Kit that we could choose to obtain additional scores :

Mug

Sticker

Hat

Booklet

Pin

and I am adding my own additional 'optional', Jacket.... Yeay

The Indie Band....

The choice of the indie band is optional. We could make an entirely new one or choose the one that has already existed and modify them. We were asked to make moodboards, and summary of the band, mind map, and the sample music of the band.

'Teeth Whitening' Tool in Photoshop

I used masking and then with hue, saturation, brightness, and contrast, change his teeth color. Whiten them ! Yepp

and with patch tool, i also remove his pimples.....

Liquify Tool

So this is something i experimented on.... he was untidy and not that 'business person', so i transformed him 'a bit'

And so now, i used patch tool, to remove baggy eyes and circles below the eyes that looks not good on photo, just select the 'infected' areas, and drag it to a better place.

Liquify Tool

And after layer mask, we learned how to use liquify tool... Liquify tool is in the Filter window, and then click Liquify, or for shortcut, just press Cmmd+Shift+X (Ctrl+Shift+X for Windows). A window will open up like this :

and he goes smiling like this :

So i just used the 'Push Left Tool', 'Forward Warp Tool', and other tool in that window.

The thing about Photoshop is that you need to try and experiment something to discover new things hahaha....

Layer Mask

Layer Mask

So in December 5th, I learned how to use layer mask in Photoshop.. It's very easy to use layer mask, we just need to select the one we want to mask with layer mask in the bottom left corner of the tools windows.

Here's what i did :

layer mask looks like some red layer on top of a layer, and after the selection, i change the hue, saturation, brightness, and contrast

so according to this sketch that mr. prata chose, i will make the illustration in adobe illustrator

first i trace Eric Carle's face and hat with pen tool and mesh tool

and then i modified the logo with clipping-masking his artwork into the logo shape

and this is the logoooo!! (^^) yeeeyyy

and then edited the background

and combine letters from his artwork and remove the background

putting the 10th anniversary logo *parampampampammm*

and then the sponsors logo

and then surround eric with his artworks (hehehehe) -which i have erased their background before

this was my second attempt in making this project (i didn't put the sponsors logo in the first one, and there weren't any sentences at the top also)

and then the final revision ~(^.^~)

so i present my choices to mr. prata and he chose eric carle, and then we were asked to make sketches of how the artwork will be, in my case how my poster would be… so i made these sketches and then he chose the sixth one :)
