Anyways, I’m glad you’ve come to your senses. I hear the food there is amazing.”

Nick laughed. “Hey, I’m just one man..” he teased. He grinned a little bit at her. He wrinkled his nose. “I do not use that line. Ever,” he laughed. “But yeah, food sounds absolutely amazing. You know me so well.”

“I might. It’s actually a pretty good movie. And the Rock is in it,” she smirked at him. “Wanna come over and watch it? We can order pizza.”

Nick smirked a little and nodded. “Names are always a good place to start,” he laughed. “Nicholas. But you can call me Nick.”

“I think we will.” Kajal responded with a smile, taking his hand as they set off to their newfound destination. “I’m so excited!”

He chuckled a little and walked alongside her. “Me too,” he said. “So is there anything I should know about my newfound friend?” he asked her.

Pointing back and forth between the both of them. “If I had any brain power, right now, I’d look up some unusual activities, but I’m pretty much spent from my work week. You could say research is a big part of what I do.”

“Not off the top of my head..” he admitted. “But I’m sure I could rustle up a couple more people.” He shrugged his shoulders a little bit and shook his head. “Oh yeah? What kind of research do you do?” he asked him curiously.

“A club?” Xyla repeated, scrunching her nose in response. “Congratulations, you picked something within the 20% that I definitely didn’t want to do! I mean really, out of all the things there are to do in this city, you want to go to the club and be squished with half naked 21 year olds? Sorry, I’ll pass on that. But there is this new Japanese fusion restaurant in Manhattan that I’ve been dying to go to. What do you say?” she asked, raising an eyebrow at him. “Unless those 21 year olds are your dating pool, then by all means, I’ll tag along and watch.”

Nick let out a laugh at this and shook his head. “I mean the half naked part isn’t terrible,” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. “But no, I don’t tend to date that young,” he said. He arched a brow at her. “Japanese fusion sounds much better,” he said.

Nick chuckled and took the other man’s arm. “There’s a place not too far from here. Has the best fries,” he said with a grin. “Don’t worry, you’re going to be more than satisfied.”

“Friday?” Jordan had to have a moment to wrack through his brain. Going over any scheduling conflicts that might get in the way of the spontaneous open invite. “Uh, I think I can manage most of the time off…” Or so he hoped. Not that he was one to complain, but he was running a little on empty between his work life and rigorous workout routines along with some side projects he’d been working on with friends. “I think I could manage that. A party, though?” Brows lifted in the man’s direction. “What is a ‘little party’ to you? You got me curious.”

“Well that depends...” he said. “But I mean, usually little means at least five people. Movies, food, hanging out and having fun,” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. “But we can go bigger or smaller if you want. I just need to do something fun, you know?”
