Personality Traits: Friendly, Talkative, Deceptive, Manipulative, Calculated
The Cristianos have been part of Solomon’s Judgment since its inception, membership passed down from parent to child for so long that even they don’t know how the family originally got involved. The family has single-handedly been responsible for the deaths of more Mythics than any other person or family in the order’s history. This ruthless drive runs deep in Nick’s blood, so fully ingrained that it has become his sole purpose in life.
Though his family originates in Rome, Nick and his two brothers grew up in a middle-class, suburban neighborhood on the outskirts of Chicago. His childhood was abruptly cut short when shortly after his tenth birthday his father took him to the family’s automotive repair shop. The garage was empty save for one metal folding chair in the center of the room. The creature, unconscious and handcuffed to the chair, was unlike anything Nick had ever seen. Beautiful beyond words, she had dark curling waves of hair that lay against alabaster skin. He would have mistaken her for human, had it not been for the fine layer of downy feathers that covered her body and the bird-like feet she had curled delicately under her.
The Siren’s death, by Nick’s own hand, indoctrinated him into Solomon’s Judgment. From that moment on, he became one of the fiercest hunters the order had to offer. So when word of a prophecy and gathering Mythics reached those in charge, they didn’t hesitate to dispatch Nick to Atlanta. He’s been there for nearly five months now, working as a mechanic in a garage just outside of Inman Park. It gives him opportunity to work with his hands, and keep an ear to the ground for rumblings of who or what may not be as it appears.
Nick is as human as they come, at least biologically speaking, and has no supernatural powers. He is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combat fighter and is an expert in knife fighting. His ability with guns is just past the point of ‘acceptable,’ but that is not his preferred method for hunting. He prefers up close and personal, so that he can see the life drain from the eyes of the unclean. He loves his family, and his job, believing it to be a calling, and wouldn’t betray either for any reason.
Nick has a dualistic personality because of his profession. His outward persona is playful and talkative, with an open and friendly air about him. He’s the guy everyone wants to be friends with. Quick to buy a drink, or pick up the check at dinner, Nick is the poster child for ‘nice guy.’ When you peel away that mask of civility, Nick becomes more of a monster than those he hunts. He lies to get what he wants, and manipulates the situation in order to find the best possible outcome for himself and his calling. His deep hatred for Mythics in unwavering, and he is extremely calculated and cold in his determination to find them and bring an end to the prophecy.
