One month of a project. Suddenly the washing machine stopped filling with water. A few Google searches and forum threads later I got into the service mode and ran a full test. Error E30 meant the water pump wasn't working. Two days later Amazon delivered a new one. No luck, same error and still no water. A few more forum post later I had a pressure sensor and water valve on the way. After installing and getting the same results I decided to call in a repair person. Impressed by how much troubleshooting already took place they said a main board is the only other thing they would replace. Found one on eBay for $45 instead of $250 retail. Here is the installation, only a few tricky screws. Pro tip, the door must be closed in order to program the board. After three weeks of swapping out parts and waiting for shipments the washer is back in business. Amazon took back all the parts and total cost was $140 including the service call. #homeownerlife (at Sterling Heights, Michigan)

Today's project: Broken/lost lawnmower switch in the lawn. First tried a switch from my dad, same exact one, but it didn't work. Even with my awesome solder job ;) Had to resort to an old school switch. Doesn't look as pretty but does the job. #homeownerlife (at Sterling Heights, Michigan)
