“ Full disclosure, I did unintentionally make someone…” she trailed off for just a moment trying to find the right word. “Let’s just go with… a little upset… because they tripped and I took advantage of them being vulnerable and eliminated them from laser tag. ” She explained knowing there was a chance someone could misconstrue that as she had tripped that person, but they didn’t have proof that that is what had happened. It was a dark room, anyone can trip in any way, didn’t make it her fault.  “ In my defense though, if you can’t handle a competition or… ya know… a winner… friendship or dating wise we would have problems in the future so at least ya know upfront, am I right? ”

her eyes widen as the other girl speaks. she couldn’t blame her really, nicki couldn’t say she wouldn’t have done the same if the opportunity presented itself to her. unfortunately, she was eliminated early on from her own game due to how easily distracted she tended to be. “ you’re savage as hell. ” she says through a smile, amused by it all of course. “ but big props to you. what’s that saying? ” she says pausing for a moment to rack her brain. “ all’s fair in love and war, right? or in this case, love and laser tag. ” she laughs softly. “ you’re right though, if someone can’t handle a competitive boss bitch like you, whats the point? gotta weed out the weak ones early. their hurt feelings are their problem, not yours. ”

she couldn’t even remember the last time she’d actually gone bowling. lina shook her head as the ball rolled down the lane and only one pin fell. “wow, okay in my defense, it’s been forever since i’ve bowled so cut me some slack.” she laughed at herself as she turned to go back to sit down. “and now i remember why that is. clearly i suck at it.” she was still having fun regardless. “you’re up. loser buys the food after this.” she was pretty certain that would be her but she didn’t mind.

“ bet. ” nicki laughs, “ you’re on, girl! ” she couldn’t remember the last time she ever went bowling, maybe as a kid with her family but, part of her hoped it would comeback to her like some kind of muscle memory or whatever. not that she minded losing, she had never been very competitive in the first place. picking up the ball, she makes her way to the lane and pulls back. as she takes her shot the ball makes it close to the pins before heading straight into the gutter. “ damn.. ” she laments, turning to the other girl. “ at least you’re better than me. ” she teases. so much for the muscle memory thing.

all about the family & their relationships;

Nicole Brienne Davis was born in Portland, Oregon, and adopted by the Davis family when she was a month old.. From the moment they met her,, the Davis’ had fallen in love.  She was raised in a small family as an only child. her mother is an elementary school art teacher while her father works as an engineer. There was no doubt Nicole was spoiled but it wasn’t in material things but, with attention and being accepting of her doing the bare minimum. All they wanted was for their baby girl to be happy. Due to their lack of encouraging her inability to finish, Nicole was quick to give up on things. she quit gymnastics, dance, music, ballet, and soccer as a child. Nothing lasted more than a couple of months. Nicole is incredibly close to her parents and always has been. She considers them her best friends.

the road to portland starts with;

Nicole was born and raised in Portland, in the neighborhood of Richmond where her parents still live. She left at the age of 20, choosing to spend her small college fund on a road trip around the country with her then-girlfriend. After returning home she chose to leave at the age of 23. Ever since she’s been moving around the country every couple of years. She decided to return to Portland a month ago after her father suffered a near-fatal stroke. In lieu of moving back home — it was much too hard for her to do so —, Nicole got her own place in the neighborhood of King.

her occupational perspective;

Nicki worked many jobs throughout her life. Nothing ever felt worth sticking to, not when she never wants to feel tied down. After getting a job at salon booking appointments, something about seeing the way people left with newfound happiness and confidence made Nicole decide to pursue becoming a hairstylist herself. She loves nothing more than making people happy and more importantly, she doesn’t feel trapped. It’s turned out to be the perfect gig for her so far since she can bring her trade anywhere but prefers to work at black-owned salons.

additional notes;

she’s colorblind and can’t distinguish between red and green, they appear brown to her meaning she can’t distinguish between green and brown. from time to time she can also commonly confuse different types of blue and purple hues. she’d need someone to help her when it comes to colors.

hello everyone! i’m lili and this is nicole! under the cut are a few fun facts about her and if anyone would like to plot, hit the like and i’ll slide into your ims!

though she’s adopted, nicole has never had a desire to find her biological parents. the davis’ are her parents and they’re all she’ll ever need.

growing up, she always knew she was adopted even before she knew what adoption was. it wasn’t a secret in her household. her parents wanted to be as transparent with her as possible.

she always had two birthdays. the day she was born and the day she was officially adopted. she thought this was something for everyone and was very surprised to find out it wasn’t. it’s still something her family does.

an eternal quitter. she never follows through on anything she starts. it’s her worst habit.

she’s absolutely addicted to mcdonald’s chicken nuggets. has it at least once a day.

she can’t cook for shit. seriously, she tried to boil water for pasta once and forgot about it, the water evaporated and her apartment was filled with smoke.

she’s lived all over the west coast. the longest she’s ever spent in one place was a year. she enjoys the freedom of leaving and starting new. she’s lived out of her car and in seedy motels. she finds them comforting, don’t judge her.

definitely suffers from peter pan syndrome. she doesn’t want to grow up.to her being and adult is being unhappy and miserable and that’s her biggest fear.

she’s back home after her father suffered a near fatal stroke. he was in a coma for a few weeks and he has to learn to do everything all over again. it’s really hard for her to remain happy-go-lucky but she’s really trying.

she decided to move from portland shortly after returning from a road trip she took with her then girlfriend. after experiencing the freedom of being on the road and not being stuck anywhere, she decided regular life wasn’t for her anymore. she broke up with her girlfriend and drove off.

she’s colorblind.

she's a lesbian.

she loves flea markets and swap meets. she likes to upcycle clothes and primarily shops at thrift stores.

she’s very peaceful, carefree, and easy-going. she loves to make people smile.making people happy is her favorite thing to do.

she’s a nightowl and always has been.

absolutely idolized prince and took it really hard when he died.

owns a tattoo gun and knows how to use it. hit her up if you want some ink for cheap.

absolutely loves to dance.
