My Journey through FE12 via Maniac Mode Intro
Hello everyone. I decided to play FE12 again after a long time.
Why am I replaying this game for after so long?
So after Malice got released and I simped hard for her, she said this line that I haven’t heard her in her supports or bonus saga.
Since I knew all of her supports with Kris and Dice, I figured this was one of her supports with Rickard but I searched and couldn’t find it anywhere. So I decided the replay the game just to find out.Â
..That’s one of the reasons.
I’ve had a negative experience with FE12 on my first playthrough. Way before, I beat Shadow Dragon on the highest difficulty and thought I could do the same with FE12 Lunatic Mode. One of the worse mistakes of my life. I beat it but man it was difficult, frustrating and not very fun for me. I remember not liking how IS handled Kris in the story either or how Marth’s character development was butchered in my eyes so I always thought this was one of the worst FE games I’ve played. I do remember that I did like Malice, Cecil and Katarina a lot though and used (or tried to) them in my Lunatic playthroughs and that the music was great.
But that was years ago and I’ve changed. I want to give this game another try and see what I missed.
I’m playing on Maniac Mode which I found is hard but compared to Lunatic mode, it is more flexible with the units you can use and I can play the game the way I like to play. This will be a 100% Playthrough for me. Getting the best ending, Recruiting all playable characters, and no deaths always restarting if someone dies or I miss someone.I ain’t mentally ready for an Ironman run yet.
As of this post, I’m on Chapter 8. I’ll update my progress in little bit and give my thoughts on the chapters and characters. Thanks for the read and have a good day.
