Damn, this fanfic feels like a lifetime ago now, and I’m still so proud of it.

I thought about it for the first time in a while last night, and it still brings a smile to my face. If it weren’t for the fact that I had written it during literal COVID and two major surgeries, I’d say it feels almost nostalgic to read it again after all this time.

Dumb Headcanon #63972

Contrary to popular belief, V actually does use slang terms in his everyday vocabulary.

The only problem?

They’re all 1920’s slang terms.

Whenever V kills a demon in battle, he likes to make witty remarks about slipping it into its “Chicago’s overcoat” and giving it the “Big Sleep” under the “Harlem Sunset” (And Nero’s just standing there in the background like “??? The fuck does that even mean?”)

He loves driving people crazy by saying shit like “you’re tooting the wrong ringer” and “I know my onions” instead of “you’re asking the wrong person” and “I know what I’m talking about.”

He has at least 20 different ways of saying the word “money” and none of them even come close to making logical sense.

And he’ll never forget the absolutely PRICELESS look on Nero’s face when he first referred to Kyrie as his “hotsy-totsy.”

I gotta say, it’s really impressive that I managed to squeeze 4 whole years of hyperfixation out of DMC, given that I really only played the demo that one time.
