How to handle dating me (a breakdown)

1. If I’m upset, feed me, I’m probably hungry 2. If I’m not talking as to why I’m upset, /cuddles/ 3. During hell week, I will be salty for no reason, just ignore me 4. I will constantly be asking for validation, just keep letting me know that you /actually/ want to be with me, if you do 5. Food is my best friend and my soulmate sorry, but you with food is a completely different story 6. I’ll say I don’t want you to buy me shit but I actually do 7. I may not be good at most things but I’m a good listener and person to talk to 8. I love chicken strips 9. I usually get tired after I eat so I might take a nap 10. Don’t ditch the cliché stuff. Shakespearian language and roses and chocolate are the best. 11. I’m pretty good at reading people so if you’re upset there’s a 99% chance that I will know 12. I will most likely steal all of your clothes, just let it happen 13. Sometimes it doesn’t have to be a fancy 5 star date, we could just read books or make cookies and I’ll be the happiest girl alive 14. Music>everything else 15. I actually cannot dance, despite what I say, I look like one of those car dealership inflatable dancing guys. 16. I will try to sing, but it makes me happy so don’t tell me to stop 17. I’m pretty easily entertained 18. Sundays are for lazily watching tv in sweatpants, sorry, those are the rules 19. I have too many favorite artists, don’t try and ask who they are bc if you do, you will never hear the end of it 20. Don’t play with my heart, if you like me then tell me, if you don’t then tell me, I’m a pretty understanding person.

Maybe one day we’ll figure out how to love each other. I won’t deny you’re still a part of me, but we go together like two broken pieces trying to make room for each other. We’ve never been able to find the right pieces to fix ourselves so that our hearts could mold into one. Maybe one day we’ll figure out how to love each other, but for now know that my heart still quietly calls out your name.

(Open scene.) The first time is entirely an accident because they’re fighting after a hunt, heated words flowing back and forth between them, fists clenched, eyebrows drawn—

“You don’t even know how stupid it is, taking risks like that.” Dean’s voice borders on a yell, probably loud enough to wake Sam all the way down the hall.

“Oh, so you’re the only one allowed to take risks?” Cas throws back, his jaw set angrily.

“At least I’m actually, you know, good at it.”

“We met in hell,” Cas says, incredulous.

“Oh, nice, play the hell card again.”

“I’m not playing any cards, simply pointing out an extremely obvious fallacy in your argument.” They’re extremely close now, close enough that Dean can feel the righteous warmth pouring off Cas in waves, close enough to be hyperfixated on the harsh curve of Cas’ mouth.
