NO MATTER WHAT, KAROLINA WOULD ALWAYS LOVE NICO. It was hard not to. The fact that Nico had left solely to practice her magic was something so on-brand for her that it was a little difficult to stay upset with her for leaving so abruptly, because sure, it could have been dealt with better. But, it wasn’t like she had started up anything nefarious or anything that would have really been that much of a dealbreaker for the blonde. “Awesome. Maybe we can set something up for a weekend at some point.” She could even make dinner, it had been a while since she’d cooked for anyone besides herself. It might actually be nice to cook for two for once. Karolina laughed, mostly because that was probably the best-backhanded compliment she would ever get. “Thanks. I’ve always wanted to be someone’s favorite giant rainbow.” She quipped back. Tea in hand, she sat across from Nico as she tried to understand how Gert Yorkes could be alive, still. Maybe there was some sort of weird magic going on. She just hoped that MORGAN WASN’T BACK. If she was, this city was definitely in danger. “You just read my mind. I’m a little worried that she has something to do with this, honestly. Maybe we should try to investigate a little bit, just to make sure that this is a happy ending and not the start to something bad?” It would be kind of nice, she decided. Not only to get her mind off of the countless papers she had to write but, she missed having little missions. “The runaways with a little less running. That sounds really nice.” She commented with a small smile. The smile remained as she listened to Nico speak, not really being able to help it. In any capacity, she was thrilled to hear that Nico wouldn’t be trying to escape to be on her own for a while. “You were missed. But, also, very much welcomed back. I’m glad you’re here.” She replied, a hand on Nico’s.
“Yeah, I- I would like that, dinner for two, and actual food this time,” Nico added in a light hearted tone. “We can take that opportunity to check out your apartment too, might as well,” she shrugged, trying her best to conceal her excitement. Her gaze fell quickly onto the marbled table top, “you’re probably Chase’s favorite giant rainbow too, and Xavin’s,” she reminded her blonde friend. She tapped her foot lightly on the wooden floor as her hands brought her cup of hot chocolate nearer to her lips and took another sip. “We could,” the Wiccan nodded slowly, in her mind, she was figuring out the ways in which both of them could approach that, kidnap her and interrogate her? call for a peaceful discussion? “Chase did seem pretty happy, and he should know gert way better than all of us,” she reasoned, “yet again, Chase is pretty much an airhead too... So I think we should investigate.”
She allowed her hand to linger beneath Karolina’s for a while before holding up her hand and squeezed it gently, “Well, I’m glad I’m back too, it’s probably time to round up the rest of the gang huh?”
