I’M BACK!

It’s good to be back but oh my goodness I had so much fun!

The drive was pretty good and straight forward.  Got a good parking spot from day one.  Walked through the doors and omg you could definitely tell it was an anime con; people were packed butt-to-gut in there already.  It was packed and stayed packed until everything was over.

I don’t know what all they renovated at the Sheraton but our room was EXCELLENT.  Thank you Jesus because having a good room was a must-have. But the whole using-your-key-to-operate-elevator thing was annoying >_<

I was disappointed that half of the panels I was interested in were missed due to the fact that I worked on Friday.  However, I still managed to attend a modeling panel with 50% Dangerous which was really fun. I stayed up Friday night as well as Saturday morning still trying to finish my cosplay in time for the contest.

Yep, I planned to enter the cosplay contest; that’s why I was stressing and perfecting my DJ Lance/Miku mashup cosplay for the past month.  Unfortunately, because sign ups were apparently filled Friday evening, I could only participate as a walk-on for Saturday’s event.

BUT! I still feel victorious because the finished product is just banging and makes me feel so proud! Lots of people complimented and took photos of me, even if they couldn’t figure out which “vocaloid” I was: p

Relieved that the “big event” was finally behind me, I attended a few more panels before going to dance my butt off at the party Saturday night.

My deepest regret was catching a glimpse of *GASP* a Vash the Stampede cosplayer outside of the main events room during the cosplay contest.  OMG Vash is one of my favorite characters and it was always a con-going dream to take a picture with him!  But I was in a rush to get somewhere and get back before I was called to the stage to snag his picture.  BIG MISTAKE because I never saw him again :’( I almost had con-ops to do a search-and-find for him.  [I’m not kidding, staff was about to make a call on the walkie-talkie].

Well, outside of missing my knight in a red trench coat,  Hoshicon 2015 was definitely worth it.  Everything was topnotch; the cosplayers, the attendance, the panels, even the marketplace where you had to wait in line just to enter the room!
