“I thought after my first semester I was doing okay - I may have cried during finals but that’s up for debate. Not tests, it’s more of the projects and presentations. It’s as if professor’s do not even communicate and just assign them all due at one time -- and then lets throw in a mandatory field trip in the middle of it. Stupid, really.”

The people of New York City are interesting and diverse people, I swear. On the way back from classes, somebody asked if I wanted to model for their homoerotic star-trek shoot or something. I could have dropped dead right there and then.

What next? A guy from Brooklyn or something is going to try his chances with me, I can see it now. God! That would be funny.

Some of the professors are not much better! My biology teacher asked me to kiss an obnoxious student in class since I was sick last week. But the real question is did you say yes? Are you going to be playing Spock or Kirk in this upcoming shoot? Personally I think I can see you pulling off Spock.

“It’s far too late (and too damn cold) to be out here on your own,” he calls out well aware that his voice shatters the silence as much as can be expected–maybe he should have aimed for a friendlier greeting “I’m heading back to campus–maybe you should accompany me,” and he hesitates, heat flooding his features for but a moment before he quickly adds “Safety in numbers, you know–that sort of thing.”

Nico jumped at the other’s sudden brisk words. He glanced over his shoulder at the man as he tried to calm his nerves down after the small heart attack. Nico glanced up at the illuminated sign of a small convenience store which was now closing, given such the late time in the day, but the freshman made it just in time to stock up on cheap energy drinks and other known college survival items. “Uh--yeah, sure, why not.” His English accent broke through in the few words he spoke. He shifted the small plastic bag around his wrist as he stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jacket, taking a few steps over to the other male. “Just so you know, you better protect me from muggers and murders since my only defense is wit.” He joked, letting out a small laugh.
