THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
I'm using my new account to go through the Pottermore chapters up to the sorting. This is also my first time exploring chapters since they've made the sound updates, so that should make it more fun!
I'm going to dust off this old blog as today I'm signing up for Pottermore again to retake the Sorting Hat quiz.
My new username is DreamKey13720 (I actually really love this username oh my gosh it's perfect).
Dueled for the first time yesterday.
It was HARD.
Maybe I'll go through a few more chapters soon. I figure I should finish Pottermore eventually.
Apparently you can go Duel on Pottermore now.
Not that I really care about Pottermore anymore...
Pottermore Beta period EXTENDED!
According to Pottermore Insider, they have decided to extend the beta period to work out more kinks in the game.
Since we launched Pottermore, our one million Beta users have given us lots of amazing feedback, and we’ve been collecting their thoughts and comments so that we can make Pottermore the best experience it can be before it opens to everyone. After looking closely at all the information that we’ve gathered, we have decided to further extend the Beta period so we can improve Pottermore before giving more people access. This means the site will not be opening to new users in the immediate future, but please know that we will open registration as soon as we can. As part of our work to make Pottermore even better, we’ll be taking the site down for a few days on Wednesday 2 November. We’re going to use this time to make a few technical changes behind-the-scenes. We’ve set up a separate page on the Insider so we can give you the latest Beta information and answer some of the more common Beta questions. We’ll be updating it as the Beta continues and posting on our Twitter account, too. So Pottermore will not be opening to new users just yet. For all of you who are waiting to enter Pottermore, we want to thank you for being so patient - we’re working very hard to make some exciting improvements, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming you to the site when it’s ready.

Remember when we all thought Pottermore was going to take over our lives?

Spells are hard!
But, oh look, a puppy! And I can click on it and its noses move! How helpful!
YES! I'm gonna cast a spell now.
OMG, guys. I just found eel's eyes, lying on the ground.
I mean, who leaves eel's eyes in the middle of a hallway? This is great, I've needed a jar of these for a while now. How lucky is this!
I have never heard of Familiars before.
So that is really interesting.
The concept of 'familiars' has existed in British folklore for many hundreds of years. Familiars are animals (some say animal-shaped spirits) that serve a witch in various ways, whether as servants, messengers or even spies. Historical accounts of witchcraft make mention of familiars; such animals have been credited with supernatural gifts, and even believed to be demons (or the devil himself) in disguise.
Familiars, in the strictest sense, do not exist within the world of Harry Potter. Although Hogwarts students are permitted to bring animals to school with them, the cats and rats we see there are, broadly speaking, pets. Ironically, the animal that acts most like a traditional familiar in the entire series is Mrs Norris, who belongs to the castle's only non-magical inhabitant, Argus Filch. It is true that owls are sent as messengers within the series, but this is in the context of a highly organised postal service, not unlike Muggle pigeon post.
Trophy room art is really cool.
And I collected a galleon! I'm rich!
