@alice; dare
Nightmare strode swiftly down the street, searching for the young lady who was so dear to him and to everyone else in the Country of Hearts.Ā He could only think of what consequences flaunting his actions to Peter would bring him.. but he didn't quite care.Ā However, he would have to make sure he'd regain the trust Peter had in him.Ā Nightmare wanted to be respected, and that was certainly something he didn't take lightly.
Finally, the demon stopped and turned around, searching for Alice.Ā She couldn't have gotten too far away...
His love for her was not uncommon.Ā Everyone she'd spoken to, when she was in the Country of Hearts and the Country of Clovers, had easily fallen in love with her... almost like a spell.Ā Except it wasn't magic, nothing at all like that.Ā Nightmare would know -- after all, he was capable of something that came close to mind - reading, not to mention his ability to visit others in their dreams.Ā
Unfortunately, it seemed that the scientists had somehow stopped him from being able to read minds. Ā He didn't even understand how such a feat was made possible, but the point was, it had been done. Ā The best the demon could do was to hope that things would get better.. and, of course, he'd try to regain his usual powers. Ā He wasn't a human. Ā He despised being treated so lightly.
