what is a favourite family christmas memory that has stuck with you through the years? why?

i really struggle to think of exact memories, but one that i really love is my first year helping with our church crib service (a kids service on christmas eve), my sister and i were doing the skits in between videos and songs, and we spent the whole day setting up the church with other young people, got dominos for lunch and generally had a great time! i’m really sad that we’re missing out on that this year because it’s such good fun to hang out with all my church friends and something to do on christmas eve.

I didn’t do any work yesterday for Thanksgiving, but I celebrated my birthday with my grandparents and they gave me this beautiful TWSBI pen! I filled it with Noodler’s American Aristocracy ink, which is such a gorgeous color (though it bleeds a bit). Today I got back to work, though: I submitted a fellowship application and then did my Virgil reading for Tuesday. My advisor also invited me to a guest lecture on Verrocchio’s work in San Lorenzo in her Italian Renaissance art class on Monday, so I’m going to do the readings for that probably tomorrow.
