Since high school, I developed a habit of going out walking just to clear my mind. I would take pictures of the sky, plants, and animals on the way. You may pass by places which hold memories, or you may find scenes which are rarely noticed. Usually, walks are also accompanied by friends and chats.
Unfortunately, the pandemic caused great changes in our lives this 2020. Going out was restricted and it really affected me so at the start of the year, I really wanted to do it again. I chose to go walk and jog at the nearby field. It was refreshing and also reminding of my high school days. One tree continuous to stand firm in the field. Told to be cursed or inhabited by a spirit, it was never cut. It’s a landmark to the place. The fields aren’t that lit at sunrise and one can see fog enveloping the area. At close inspection, they were just plants. As I observed the joggers, I saw some just walking and chatting. It was nice seeing them together conversing.
Before another busy year, one should go out, walk, talk, and destress. Amidst those concrete houses, I am glad to see a green place where one can breathe and relax.
People there were camera shy so I maintained distance and focused on the activity and the place.
