Hanyou no Yashahime Theories

Hi everyone,

So we are 5 chapters in Hanyou no Yashahime, and my friend @tanukinao and I have been discussing what will happen and what happened before the story started.

And just by the information those 5 chapters have given us, we came out with the following theories:

1- What happened to Kagome, Sango, the twins, Rin,....?

From the first chapter, we know that they were living all in the same village at least up until the birth of Moroha, Setsuna and Towa; and in chapter 4 we learn that Rin is trapt in the Tree of Ages.

So, what happened to the other women in the village? Assuming that a demon or a spirit came in and attacked/kidnapped them and they are all in the same state that Rin is, the guys when looking for a way to free them. So, in that case, we can explain why Sesshomaru wasn’t with his kids since he is looking for a way to free Rin from her sleep.

For Inuyasha could be a similar case. Kagome has a strong spiritual energy that attracts other demons, this could mean that also attracts other spiritual forces making her be in the same state as Rin is, and Inuyasha looking for a way to free her.

In the case of Sango and the twins, we can think that they are in the demon slayer layer, but they were settled in the village, and why Miroku would leave his wife and kids behind. We learn that he meets Setsuna and she calls him a traveling monk. The other option that occurs to us is the same fate as Rin and Kagome, and Miroku traveling to look for a way to free them (hopefully is the first one).

2- Towa and Setsuna upbringing

In the third chapter, we learn that when Sesshomaru took them when they were still babies from the house of Kaede, and then she theorizes that he might have made them do the bravery and cowardice ritual. Just by the image of Sesshomaru flying with both babies in one arm, I dought that they were capable of taking care of themself/each other at that age ( Inuyasha was a little older when he became an orphan). And that, if something attacks the village (or the event mentioned before), he wouldn’t be near to protect them, so we think that he might have taken them to Inukimi, his mother, as he did once with Rin. Then, something happened that they end up in the forest. It could be the test that Kaede mentioned or a demon attacked the house of Inukimi.

3- Setsuna after the forest fire.

Since we know that Sota cares for Towa in modern times, we can imagine how she grew up like by what they said in the 2nd episode. On the other hand, Setsuna stayed back in the forest where the Dream Butterfly took her memories and dreams away. Then she stayed in the forest where she grew older until she went to Kaede house. My hunch is that, while Setsuna lived in the forest, she met Miroku and he gained her trust. He is the one that convinces her to go live with Kaede until Kohaku took her under his wing as a demon slayer.

4- Moroha upbringing

In the 5th chapter, we learn that: one, Moroha knows Kaede; second, Mioga is with her; third, she has a debt.

For the first part, we can imagine that Kaede took care of Moroha after her parents’ disappearance until right before Setsuna came back to live with Kaede. So we can also think that Moroha, Towa and Setsuna were all together in the house of Kaede until Sesshomaru took his twins away. This can be confirmed since Mmoroha left all the stuff she brought from the modern era with her.

If she was left in the care of Kaede by Inuyasha for what we can imagine is some big event, Mioga was also left behind as her protector (I know, ironic). But it’s not like they abandoned her since they left her the sword, bow and arrows, the Isayoi lip balm, robe made of fire-rats. What it looks like is that she knows well the extent of her power/habilities (spiritual and demonic) but lacks in knowing her family tree, in what I can imagine is due to her own will.

The debt she has is what made her become a bounty hunter. Since this information has only been confirmed in the 5th chapter, I can’t really think of a theory of what made her be in debt. But what I can theorize is that when she became in debt, she was living with Kaede and left to pay her debt.

5- The Red Pearl

In the 5th chapter, we also learn how Moroha got the Red Pearl from Tokotsu’s corpse. If we consider that it really belongs to Moroha, then a past event took it away from her and then found its way back to her. If not, who is the real owner?

Day 10: so yesterday I was unable to fulfil my challenge since it was my father birthday and I had the begining of a migraine late at night (that persisted until the next day 😖). But at the end of today I started to feel better so I decided to do 2 drawings to compensate for the day before.

The first one is a Harry Potter inspire from the third book: The prisoner of Azkaban.

The second one is kinda Harry Potter inspire because it is a Phoenix but it is not based on the same one you see on the movies.

I couldn't fill it in with my pencils or colors (for the 2nd one) since I have to look after my brother (who didn't wanted to sleep 😩)

Day 8: I made a coffee cup. Something that I have realise, even if I have been doing this challenge for only 8 days, is that I need 2 things to do a better draw: 1.- feel enthusiast to draw that day; 2.- draw something that make me feel inspire or that I feel like a challenge.

Maybe I need to look at this challenge with a different eye from time to time but I do feel like I need to do a lot of improvement.

Day 7: I admit that the head looks weird but I really wanted to draw a happy Tikki from Miraculous Ladybug.

Right now I'm still not updated in the series (had to much word at the university to stay updated in anything) so please no spoilers.

Day 5: I was kinda mad with myself for this drawing because I did it really late at night and didn't do any previous hand warming before drawing it. This one was inspire by one drawing I did more or less 7 years ago, back when I was in school. I made it on a free period and I have kept it ever since ( some of my drawing end up lost or in the trash) so you may know how I feel about the original. I think that maybe I have come some way from that time but I'm still prefers the original.

Day 6: I decide to draw Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon because : 1 I'm not proud of my drawing from yesterday (and I forgot / didn't wanted to show it) and 2 I'm thrill to see the httyd3 movie.

Pinterest has chase me away with some spoilers pics and gifs 😣. And I also hate to see the traillers twice and I usually stop at the first one ( I start to analyze it and end up autospoiling myself 😑 )

Damn straight. Fuck, I’ll host GED classes in the damn library if it keeps kids safe. I’ll share what skill with words I have, what life experience I have, and make sure that the kids in my community come home safe and stay that way. Remember kids: Student walk-outs and sit-in protests are incredibly effective, because it means that the system is breaking down. Their authority only goes as far as you let it. Don’t bring weapons to protests. Don’t bring mace or tear gas to protests. Get bottled water, at least six bottles per person for four hours. Pack a first aid kit. Ace bandages, band-aids, water, dried gatorade (a scoop in a bottle of water helps prevent heat stroke due to dehydration), and sunscreen. Keep emergency contacts on all cell phones, and if possible appoint someone in the group to be the designated emergency contact caller. Their job, if shit goes south, is to run to safety and call parents, call friends, call help, not just the police. Don’t be afraid of Juvie. Your record is expunged at 18, if the crime isn’t something like murder.

The public school system cannot function without students attending, this is a supremely effective strategy.

Keep up with and take food to those who rely on free and reduced lunches. Find a homeschool co-op or go attend classes at those online k-12 things. If you’re old enough to drive now is the time to start carpooling.

just a reminder that this is also to teachers. this is circulating in my program. that teachers are just as much a part of this creation for a walkout, too. because no teacher should have to go to work thinking they’re going to die alongside their students because congress refuses to do anything.

There are ways to prevent things happening for the first time or repeat for a second time. For a case like the mass shooting at Broward school, or any before this one, this should had been prevented since the first time it ever happened, not wait until this late one for the Congress to start taking actions, nor less for the students having to take the streets or start missing classes to create a reaction on the government.

For any outsider, like myself, I'm with the students. They don't deserve to go to their school with the fear to witness/survive a mass shooting in a the place they go to learn/socialise,.... where they should feel secure. Even if where I am from we haven't had a case similar since the 90's (and the politics conditions where different at that time), the educations centers had made it possible for the students to feel secure in the inside.
