“Oh, thank gods you didn’t mean something strange.”
vadaxfarmiga:
“It’s so much where you look, it’s who you should ask.”
“This whole town is in a cult, aren’t they?”
vadaxfarmiga
“Maybe you’re just not looking in the right places.”
“Where else can I possibly look?”
leandroxxgautier:
“That sucks man, have you looked around any of the other smaller shops? They sometimes get things in before the name brand stores.”
“Trust me, I searched the small stores first.”
axelluther:
“Life’s a bitch. Not sure I have anything else to input on that one.”
“Thank you for such a blunt statement.”
“How is it that the whole town is out of bay leaves when they’re the one thing I need today?”
The blonde had just finished an 18 days straight full-time shift. Now it wouldn’t be fair to blame that completely for the sour mood that she was in, but Natalie would say that was the sole reason. Grabbing one of the flowers that was danging she snapped it in half before sitting down on the nearest bench in the park as she looked over to the person next to her, “It’s amazing how couples ruin a damn good couple – since when did Halloween become a couple holiday? Everyone matching up is making me want to become anorexic.” She pulled each petal off the the flower as her thoughts ran through her head, “Not to mention half these couples are going to break up when their significant other goes for the sexy unicorn or nurse.”
“That’s certainly one way to look at it,” Nikolai said, offering her a smile. “I’d say don’t adopt any eating disorders yet. Who knows, maybe this town’s next surprise will be a deviation of the Halloween norm.” The witch leaned back against the bench with a sigh. “But I’ll admit, Halloween has certainly changed.”
“Fantastic, just fantastic.” Of course this would happen to her. Middle of the night, dead phone and her keys to her motel room dropped somewhere on the ground. With only the light from a street lamp a block away Riley was having rotten luck trying to find them in the dark. She was crouched down, knees in the dirt, hands shuffling around where she thinks they might have landed. “Keys, keys, keys.” She kept mumbling to herself as though that would somehow summon them into her hands.
Nikolai and his dog were slow, sure, but Nikolai was a vet and it had to be healthy for his dog to get some semblance of exercise, despite the little known fact that his dog had been dead for four years. The walk they were on wasn’t an extraordinarily long one; as it turns out, when you’re dead you’re not very capable of long walks. Still, his senses weren’t gone, and when the dog perked up and started lunging, albeit slowly, into the direction of the motel, Nikolai obliged and followed him.
“Need some help?” He called, hearing the faint chanting in search of keys. “Sorry, it’s dark out.”
Hailee had finally decided to come out of her bat cave. It wasn’t like she could stay in her studio apartment forever sulking her sister’s absence and her friends’ death. Life did go on, at least that was what she had been told repeatedly. Coming to the cafe always had brightened up her day before so here she was hoping that was still the case. Instead, she found herself with many surprises, “I didn’t even know it was possible for the veggie burrito to go up two dollars in just 30 days, what kind of world are we living in?”
“I’d say that’s vegetarian discrimination, right? Something like that.” Nikolai smiled at her, trying to put a name to her face. If she had a cat or a guinea pig or an iguana, he’d be sure to recognize the pet, b ut the pet parent? Not so much. “Highway robbery,” he tacked on, rocking from the balls of his feet to his heels and back.

Hey, is that AVAN JOGIA? Oh, no, it’s NIKOLAI ROMANIK. I hear they are TWENTY-THREE and they can be OPTIMISTIC, CARING and TRUSTWORTHY, though it should be noted that they’re known to be SECRETIVE, FLIGHTY and ANXIOUS. We’ve heard some strange things about town, but we’re pretty sure that they’re a WITCH.
