Hello, this is the official account of the Nimbasa city Pokepal Shelter. We are located on the outskirts of Nimbasa City in Unova, near route 16

Feel free to ask questions about the shelter, Pokemon up for adoption or just general pokemon advice :)

This account is used by multiple people, but I (Razz, they/she) am the main one who runs it. So if you see a post without a sign of it’s most likely me.

Hi! I’m wondering what pokemon you have up for adoption? I’m looking for one to help protect me as most of my current pokemon aren’t battlers (besides my butterfree). A Mr. Mime would be ideal, but yeah. I’ll be in Nimbasa in a few days so I figured I’d reach out.

We recently got a Solosis in, his name is Robby and he’s a wee sweetheart. While he’s not high levelled (I think he’s only about lv. 17) he does know protect so he’d be able to protect you in that way. While he doesn’t show much interest in battling he’s not against it, so you could level him up if you wanted him to be able to attack back.

We also have a Venipede and a Whirlipede (both know protect and like to fight so they’d have no problem fending of wild Pokemon), but both of them would require an experienced, active battler. Since you only have one Pokemon who battles I’m kinda assuming you don’t battle that much, but if you do then those two would be options as well.

hey sorry I'm maintenance for one of the apartments near gear station and I was checking after a move out to make sure that the tenant hadn't stuck forks in all the electrical outlets or shit like that before leaving and uh I found this

Right. First, call the police and report this. That definitely qualifies as Pokemon abuse. Also I highly doubt that who did that has a breeding license.

We can send someone to pick them up right now, can you give us the address for the apartment? We can catch them/ take their pokeballs to temporarily hold but we unfortunately don’t take most water types. We simply don’t have the facilities for them to be happy and healthy. So we’re going to have to figure out somewhere to transfer them…

@the-koiking-pond, you guys got the room for a good few magikarp hybrids? I know your over in Hoenn but your the first people I thought of when thinking of where to send so many Magikarp. We can transfer them over to you via pc, if you’re able to take them of course.

Yep, just come in and explain to whoever’s at the front desk and they’ll get everything sorted. We’re open 10am-5pm.

I found a nest of Abandoned Pokemon Eggs, Should I give them to You?

First please make sure the nest is actually abandoned, it could just be that the parent is away for a bit. We’d recommend observing the nest for about 4 hours to see if anyone comes back. Most parents don’t like to leave they’re eggs for more than a couple of hours and for most Pokemon finding/hunting food wouldn’t take more than a couple hours.

Once you are sure the best is actually abandoned take the eggs inside and try to keep them warm. Blankets work fine, if you have a hot water bottle fill it with warm water (not hot or boiling, about 30-35°C is good) and that will work great. Then you can bring them to us/ your nearest shelter. While our sign says open 10am-5pm there’re people in from 7am-10pm so you can drop them off anytime in that frame.

Is the Hoard all close to one another? Like is it difficult to remove one little tiktik from the lot without the rest acting up?

Yes and no. Theyre all verrrrry close, physically and emotionally. But thankfully they trust/like me enough that if I needed to remove one they wouldnt mind, theyd just be more curious to what Im doing/where Im taking it :) -Aj

After doing Pokemon of the week I realised no one ever told the story of the hoard on here

So like 10 days ago we discovered a cardboard box outside our door, this happens sometimes. People sometimes leave pokemon outside instead of coming in, you shouldn’t do this and we hate when people do this but y’know it happens. We take the box inside and open it expecting a small Pokemon or a pokeball or two.

What we were not expecting was like 120+ (we literally haven’t been able to get an actual number, every time someone counts we get a different number) baby joltik. On a serious note this was extremely dangerous, joltik are unable to generate their own electricity and can be seriously injured or die due to this. We think (know but can’t technically confirm) that the reason they were left outside instead of being brought inside is because they were illegally bred and the person didn’t want to get in trouble/ be questioned.

As soon as we opened the box we took them to Cotton our flaaffy and Socket our elekid so they could get some electricity. Cotton and Socket were extremely well behaved and didn’t mind all the new friends. Thankfully all the joltik are fine now, there was some that we were concerned about at the start but they all perked up after an hour or two

So yeah now we have a stupid amount of joltik. Since there’s just too many of them and they all look basically the same we have just been referring to them as “the hoard” lol.

Fun fact! Those pink and turquoise stoney bumps on Trubbish's arms are called their Rubble Pattern! No two rubble patterns are the same, that's how trubbish tell eachother apart in the wild! There's a rare genetic mutation that causes some trubbish to be born without any bumps on their arms called "trubsentinism". This mutation isn't actually harmful in any way to the trubbish but it does result in them looking like something is just slightly off..

Hey umm weird question but my sylveon snuck out and now I have 10 eggs, I don’t have the space, time, or money to care for them all so once they hatch could I drop them off at one of the shelters?

I live in opelucid city and there’s no shelters here at the moment but I want to make sure that when they hatch they’ll be well taken care of! I think I’ll keep a few though, so maybe I’ll drop off 8 out of 10?

We’d be more than willing to take the eevees, you can drop them down whenever or we can arrange for someone to come up and pick them up if you need. I hope their health check goes good and that they all hatch healthy! Let us know when they hatch and we can sort things out further then :3

Hi I was wondering what Pokémon were available to adopt?

We’ve got 8 deino, 2 trubbish (1 is reserved tho), 6 purrloins, 1 emolga, 1 flaaffy, 1 elekid, 2 Pansear, 1 raticate and 1 Boldore. Side note the Flaaffy and elekid are a bonded pair, do not separate y’know?
