Nina had asked her father to find the location of the man Uisdeann had been seeing, leveraging this against him. He pulled through and gave her the address Kien was staying at. She went to visit him as soon as possible, needing to talk with him and see what else was going on with him and Uisdeann. She just wanted to see her friend at peace. Nina walked up to the door, knocking lightly on it.

Washing dishes, he was trying to clean up the pile he had left since he had not really been taking care of himself. Now finding some motivation, he was at least decent looking than the last few weeks. Finally showered and in clean clothes as well. When hearing the door, he was wondering who it could be. Stepping out of the kitchen, he went to greet his guest.

"Um…hello, can I help you?" he asked, looking over the pregnant woman before him.

"I know you do. And I want to see her happy again with you." Nina sighed. "But she’s in a dark place right now. And I don’t want to bring you to her and have her pull the same thing. I was going to talk to her and ask her if she wanted to see you again after I had found you. If she says yes, then you can see her. But I don’t want to give you the green light when it’ll just hurt you again if she says no."

He nodded, his heart racing at the thought of him being able to see her soon. “It’d be a delight if I could—” He went over to her and grabbed her hands, shaking them in gratitude. “Thank you so much, Ms Carrasco. It’s an honor to know such a splendid friend of Uis’. You do not know how much this means to me in wanting her back in my life!”

"Whoa…" Nina pulled her hands back, taking a step away. "Calm down cowboy. I didn’t say you could see her yet…I don’t see why you’re so excited…."

His brows knitted upwards. “I-I know you said that…” His excitement died down as his arms dropped. “I just really want her back…”

"I know." She patted his arm. "Just save that for when you see her. I think she might like to know how much you've missed her....how much you love her and will stand by her."

"She…shared this with you?" His head lowered as his hands clenched and began to shake.

"I found her passed out, and still drunk, on a park bench. That basically told me all." She looked him over, scowling. "She’s killing herself, basically."

That was even worse than being just told something. “She…is—” Kien could so believe this with Uisdeann. She was always one who punished herself instead of trying to own up to a decision. “I have to go find her, do you know where she could be?” Would she still be in the apartment?”

"I know where she lives but I’m not sure if she’ll be there…." Nina put out her hands, trying to ease him. "But I don’t think you should go see her just yet."

His body stiffened, but softened when she touched him. He looked at her with wanting eyes. He missed Uisdeann so much. “I really want her back…”

The music was blaring and melted into the drunken chants of a few who babbled a log to a tune they didn’t know, making up words and slurring noises. Night like that always made her happy.

Nina came back with a shot glass and some water, handing them both to Uisdeann. “Only to take off the edge. I dont’ want you drunk in my home.”

"Don’t snip at me, I’ll leave your sorry ass right out here." Nina picked up her stride. "Come, I don’t live too far away."

The read head groaned again, walking next to Nina with a miserable expression on her face. Now she cold feel her stomach contracting as she felt a wave of nausea run through her.

"You can make it," she muttered, seeing the street up ahead. It didn’t take much longer for them to reach her place, opening up the door.

"Are you…lost or something?" It was odd in having an unnanounced guest, and one he didnt know at that.

"No, no….I actually came to find you." Nina shifted uncomfortable on his front step. "I’m a friend of Uisdeann’s."

His heart stopped. “Oh— Uh…” he moved to the side. “Please come in then, Ms Carrasco.” He wasnt going to let her stay outside if she had something to speak with him about.

"Thank you." She walked inside, unwrapping the scarf around her neck. "I’m sorry for just appearing…but I couldn’t take it." She stopped and turned toward him. "I think both of you are stupid for ending it."

When she entered, he closed the door behind her, his spine stiffening with her words. “Well…it wasnt as if I had a choice…” He had to abide with what she wanted, regardless of how it pained him.

"You still left her." Nina walked to the couch, sitting down gingerly. "Do you know what she’s been doing since you left?"

"She broke it off with me though—" He couldnt even look at Nina now. Even if he did stay, she’d probably shout like she did for him to leave. "And no…"

"She's been drinking herself down a dark hole. It's the only way she's finding peace because she's lost without you. To think of you has only brought her pain...." Nina ran her hand through her hair. Stepping out of the kitchen, he went to greet his guest.

"Um…hello, can I help you?" he asked, looking over the pregnant woman before him.

Nina straightened when the door opened, her hand going over her stomach. “Um, hi….” She looked him over for a moment. “My name is Nina Carrasco. I was hoping we’d talk…”

"Are you…lost or something?" It was odd in having an unnanounced guest, and one he didnt know at that.

"No, no....I actually came to find you." Nina shifted uncomfortable on his front step. "I'm a friend of Uisdeann's."

Nina had asked her father to find the location of the man Uisdeann had been seeing, leveraging this against him. He pulled through and gave her the address Kien was staying at. She went to visit him as soon as possible, needing to talk with him and see what else was going on with him and Uisdeann. She just wanted to see her friend at peace. Nina walked up to the door, knocking lightly on it.

Washing dishes, he was trying to clean up the pile he had left since he had not really been taking care of himself. Now finding some motivation, he was at least decent looking than the last few weeks. Finally showered and in clean clothes as well. When hearing the door, he was wondering who it could be. Stepping out of the kitchen, he went to greet his guest.

"Um…hello, can I help you?" he asked, looking over the pregnant woman before him.
