An early sketch of the Queen herself, Magdalena the Malevolent. She’s an immensely powerful vampire who rules her own country mercilessly, but has a bit of a soft spot when it comes to her daughter. Art by @dsinkcolors
Here’s a sketch of the protagonist of my current writing project, The Vampire Queen’s Daughter. This is Estella, the previously mentioned daughter and a powerful magic practioneer. Art by @dsinkcolors
More information about this upcoming project! The Vampire Queen’s Daughter centers around Queen Magdalena the Malevolent, a powerful vampire who has ruled her own country for generations. After a prophecy of her downfall coming at the hands of a lowly mortal child, the Queen decides to avoid her fate by adopting the child as her own.
Flash forward a few years and the Queen’s daughter, Estella, is trying to find her own way as a mere human in a crazy world where her mother is the most powerful vampire in the world.
Decided to spruce up my long inactive blog on the off chance Twitter implodes! I’m very excited to have something really fun I’m writing coming along nicely. It’s full of lesbians and involves vampires, werewolves, and all kinds of magic. I’ll probably post updates here and on Twitter both from now on (if it continues to exist).
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Look buddy, i’m just trying to make it to Friday.
reblog if its friday and you made it
jk rowling dropped more of her transphobic bs the same day that a trailer for fantastic beasts 3 was dropping, when she KNEW attention would be on her. she is officially using the popularity of her series to spread her harmful rhetoric, misleadingly presented information, and downright lies.
imo there is no separating the series from her anymore. supporting hp stuff supports transphobia point blank. as someone who grew up with the series and was extremely attached to it until the transphobia started, it does pain me to say this, but we have to stop supporting all of it. trans lives matter more than harry potter.
“oh no jk Rowling said a stupid fucking shitty thing again like the bitch she is, what fantasy series starring pre-teen witches am I gonna stan now”
She has recently said that anyone who pirates her content agrees with her hurtful thoughts on trans people, but don't have the courage to explicitly say them, so here are some other suggestions:
The Owl House, by Dana Terrace. It demolishes some clichéd story tropes on its first episodes, and has a bisexual latinx neurodivergent-coded protagonist. Its magic system consists mostly of sigil and symbol drawing. It's currently on its second season, and it looks quite good so far (let's hope they can keep the momentum...)
Witch Hat Atelier, by Kamome Shirahama. It's rich in worldbuilding, with a marvelous art style, and was even compared to the likes of a Ghibli movie. Its magic system works similarly to The Owl House, as it relies on drawing sigils and symbols. It also has a spin-off entitled Witch Hat Kitchen.
Fantastic Beasts trailer has dropped, bringin' this back.
who wants to see my favorite statue
yes you do. it's a bulgarian statue called "the dragons in love" and it's a statue of 2 dragons and they're in love
love wins
Context: Wildemount setting. The party consisting of a Fighter, a Wizard, and Ranger were tasked with finding a cultist and bringing him back alive to the Dynasty. They trapped him in Elysium with them through a combination of a Cubic Gate and a Divine Intervention from an old man’s tooth (long story.) Battle ensues, Fighter is banished, cultist is getting rough.
Wizard: I panic and cast Immolation.
DM: Immolation, you sure? (Fails save, takes 34 damage and only had 17 HP)
DM: So you watch as the fire starts licking around him. He starts screaming before he disintegrates into a pile of ash at your feet.
(Cue everyone screaming as they remember people killed by Immolation are turned to ash and taking the cultist back to the Bright Queen just got a LOT more complicated.)
Watched Lion King 2 for the first time in my life, and I have never made a meme but this manifested in my brain and demanded to be made.
