truth is empaths set the standard really low, failing to realize how egocentric and self-serving they are.

I never talk about myself in conversations with NTs, instead I give them space to talk about themselves because I figured out I'm one of the few people who lets them rant without interrupting or changing topic. I could listen to them for 3 hours just being quiet or repeating their own words and they won't even notice or try to make me partecipate more, because, as a matter of fact, they don't care of what others have to say. Meanwhile, I can come off as understanding and caring doing basically nothing, 'cause it's still more than the average person does.
