Thanks for letting me read, y'all. :)
Aerin, 09/09, B, is anything to do with living in my grandmother's motorhome actually a good idea?
For this one I drew two sets of three cards.
One set is "Positives" and contains the Queen of Swords, the Queen of Staves, and the Ace of Swords.
The other set is "Negatives" and contains the Ten of Coins, the Knave of Staves, and the Nine of Coins (modified by the King of Cups).
If those seem really backwards to you that's because they kind of are... Swords and Staves are generally more negative situations where Coins and Cups are positive ones. I think in this instance the intended message is that the "Positives" set talk about what may happen if you do that, whereas the "Negatives" set talk about what may happen if you do something else.
Going into detail, the Queens are probably two different women, one worse than the other. The Queen of Swords will hurt people as long as it furthers her goal. The Queen of Staves is just a troublemaker. The Ace of Swords is the real biggie here because it's just blatantly telling you you're going to have problems down this route, and it's going to hurt.
On the other hand you've got the Ten of Coins which talks about great happiness usually having to do with other people AND the Nine of Coins which is about positive situations. It's not 100% peaches and roses, as the Knave there tells us (he's a troublemaker like his Queen), but you've definitely got support in the King of Cups - he's all about love and family.
So unless I'm reading these way wrong the answer there seems to be, "Nooooope".
Fenrir, July 5th, deck A, and is the holidays too general a topic? -JFG
Nah, that's actually a pretty good one cause I have aĀ calendarĀ to work with.
So with that in mind I drew based on dates (sort of).
I started with Friday (which I'm not sure if you and yours actually celebrate anything on but it is the solstice so at least moderately holiday-y in a seasonally significant way). The Three of Wands came up.
After that I drew for the following weekend (and Monday, technically). This one gave me the Nine of Wands.
Then I drew for Christmas and its Eve. The Six of Wands came up here.
Then I drew for "the week following that". (Because vague is okay.) And got the Seven of Pentacles.
Then I drew for New Year's (Eve and Day, like with Christmas) and it came up Knight of Wands.
And then I think you celebrate stuff after that, right? So I drew for "the days after that" and turned over the King of Pentacles.
Now I was going to go over these all separate at first but man that is a lot of Wands right there. Wands are really energetic. You seem in for some busy holidays. At the start there with the Three we have what actually seems to be a more passive idea, because it signifies somebody waiting for events to occur, but it's not just sitting around twiddling your thumbs kind of waiting. This is more like the baking cookies and buying presents kind of "waiting" - making sure everything is prepared and things are going as they mean to. It also implies that many things have already been done in order to achieve what is about to come to pass.
The Nine of Wands continues this prepared sort of "active" waiting idea, but specifically brings up the idea that what is about to come is a challenge which must be overcome. (Which sounds about like the holidays to me lol but I don't know how yours usually go.) It might be worth noting that this card also hints a warning about paranoia? I'm not sure if that's actually relevant or not though.
The Six of Wands seems to be a good result here, it talks aboutĀ achievementsĀ being recognized and heroes* being honored. It's also about recognizing and honoring the people who helped and inspired you along the way, if you are the one who hasĀ achievedĀ your goals. This seems pretty appropriate for Christmas if it's a time of reflection and gratitude for you and your folks.
* that word doesn't seem entirely correct for the idea I'm trying to get across but hopefully it's close enough.
The Seven of Pentacles is about pausing to assess yourself and reflection of your goals and accomplishments. It denotes a time to ask yourself how reality compares with your expectations. Generally, this is about something that's ongoing - whatever you're working on isn't over, and how you process your progress up to this point will ideally inform the rest of your actions about it. The earthy Pentacles here also signify a pause (maybe a rest) from the firey energy of the Wands
which then returns in the Knight of Wands! The Knight of Wands is usually a person, probably a fire sign and probably younger. They're very passionate but easily distracted - except when they dedicate themselves to something, which they will then seek to accomplish in earnest as quickly as possible. They're very loyal and generally a good time to have around unless they're upset. (A possibility, if this isn't describing a person, is that these or similar qualities of yourself will come into play those days.)
Then everything seems to wrap up with the King of Pentacles. This represents someone who's driven by things in the physical world and used to working hard. He values order and doesn't like taking big risks, but he's also invested in making others happy (and very good at it). This could be specifically somebody who is wealthy in a monetary sense, but might not be. The earth suit again refocuses into a time of mindful rest from the massive energy output of the Wands, and that'll probably carry over into the post-holiday period.
I'm in a higher-energy state today (higher than it has been, that is), so I'll open reading requests until 10pm CST tonight. :3
New folks check the Important Post first :3
Lee, Oct 21, D
I did my usual past-present-future thing for this one.
For the Past we got the Six of Hearts which is about "childhood" - in an idealized sense, and possibly a metaphoric one. It's describing some happy period of safety, play, and joy. This could be talking about spending time with an actual child, or just being with someone who is childish (in all the best ways), or maybe that person was you yourself. This was a time of nostalgia and happy memories.
For the Present we got the Ten of Cups which is basically just a magnification of the previous card; the situation is happy, loving , and peaceful. Usually this will refer to family situations (although it doesn't always). Good things are happening, in other words.
The Future holds the Four of Diamonds which (understandably!) is about resisting change and wanting to retain what you have. In some cases this can be a positive (like when it's talking about saving money), but generally this card is advice to let things take their course and not prevent the natural way of the world from occurring. It can be scary for something so good to change - but changing doesn't necessarily mean becoming worse. Growth is important, and there are many possibilities in the world - many options for happiness.
Not taking any new requests at this time; I'll get around to the ones I already have in probably sometime tomorrow. Thanks :3
Introductory post!
Hi, I'm Nines. I'm a genderfluid nonbinary magician. (I go by "they" most of the time, if you wanted to know that.) I own Tarot cards (and some cards that aren't Tarot but are still divinatory). Sometimes I get the urge to read them for people. This is where I'm going to do that.
To see my latest attempts at this, check out the card readings tag on my main blog.
In addition to posting my readings and other cardly information, I'll be posting notices in regards to when I'm actually accepting reading requests (because I can't do this stuff every day, it's way too energy intensive). As of right now, I AM ACCEPTING REQUESTS [note: this was true at the original time of posting - may not be true currently - check for the latest update on this]. I'll probably close them this evening for a little while. I'll keep you posted.
I accept anon and non-anon requests, provided you give me a wee bit of info about yourself. (If I don't already know ya that is.) I post all readings publicly. If you'd like a private reading, feel free to say hi to me on Skype (was-ist-ein-nines) and I'll see what we can do.
(In addition, my ask and submit boxes are open to questions as well as reading requests. I'm not any kind of expert, at all, by any means, but I can try to point you toward the information you're looking for.)
Additional info:
Here is info about the spreads I generally use. I'm open to learning more, will be adding to this list as I do learn more, and do take spread requests. If you want one that's not on here just let me know about it.
Here is info about the decks I use. I generally randomize the selection because that seems to work out the best (I've been writing out all possible combinations and using a pendulum to pick which order I'll use for the day), but you can request a particular deck if you'd like.
"Hey Nines, what the fuck is that icon?" Well hypothetical person asking that question, that icon is the work of about fifteen minutes with my tablet in Paint.NET and it's a picture of a pair of 9's with eyeballs surrounded by facedown cards. Now you know!
I'm new at this. I'm doing this in an attempt to gain experience and learn more. And I figure, getting a free reading isn't that bad of a deal, even if it does turn out to be completely inaccurate - all you're wasting is the time spent writing the request and reading the results. However this means it's a good idea to not take me too seriously. I can be wrong. The cards can be wrong. I can be wrong (I'm stressing that). I don't know your situation and I don't know how what I'm reading applies to your situation - that's up to you to figure out (if it even applies at all).
Constructive criticism is highly appreciated. Flaming, trolling, and verbal abuse are not. Refrain from those if you actually want me to acknowledge you.
Similarly, I don't care if you think Tarot/divination/magic is bullshit and I am not in great need of being informed as to your opinions on the matter. If you believe in it, cool. If you don't but want a reading for funzies anyway, cool. If you're going to just send me messages mocking orĀ harassingĀ me, expect to be blocked.
(I hate that I feel like I have to put those last two on there but. I've been around the Internet long enough to know what kind of shit goes down.)
Folks who know me from my main - I'm taking requests over here instead of over there now. If you send one over there I'm gonna post it here instead, okay?
