The Great Divide is about the paths you didn’t take. It’s about going home and knowing that everyone moved on while you’re still stuck on the day everything changed.

It’s about seeing ghosts everywhere you go, it’s about the loved ones you’ve lost so unexpectedly and the struggle that comes from that. It’s about the people you lose in your grief and the moments that become lost in the fog. It’s about coming home to a place that isn’t yours anymore and coping with the knowledge that the person you once were doesn’t exist anymore. It’s about struggling with the burden of memories that no longer comfort you.

And it’s about the days that come after. The first day of spring and the knowledge that you can feel the sun again and it’s a comforting warmth rather than something that burns. It’s about the comfort you gain in the peace you build for yourself.
