I started making a list of positive and negative things people have said about me. I realized that the negative list was much larger. Then I remembered something I learned in my Communications class. People pay more attention to the negatives. They're more noticeable. I can remember all sorts of times when people have called me beautiful. Maybe not specific times like I can when people have said otherwise, but I know there has been so many times. Everyone has ups and downs in their life. The thing that defines those ups and downs is what someone chooses to do with their situation. People make bad choices if they're rushed. The negative things may be more noticeable, but you have to let yourself look around. Look inside the rugged edges and look at the bigger picture. Look around the cracks in the mirror. You'll see someone amazing staring back at you.
