Mushroomreplies for Nintendask Spotlight!

I am nominating @mushroomreplies for Nintendask spotlight!

Some people say that you can’t have both quantity and quality at the same time- well, this mun proves otherwise. Soren is a prolific artist and content creator who has created countless muses and materials to tell their stories. Starting simply enough with a shroom known as Goombario, Soren’s brood has blossomed into a whole garden of muses in Nintendask. Always eager for an ask and up to the task of answering with art responses, Soren is a worthy recipient of this week’s Community Spotlight!

Masterpost: Cora Day!

Yo, I’m totally braindead right here and now, but major shout out to my friend, and this weeks feature: @askcoracle. I try to stay pretty neutral on my own thoughts with these spotlights, but I’d be amiss if I didnt express what a great friend Friday has been to me in this community. We found each other when we were both still young in this community, walked hand in hand into the creation of the Cutie Kingdom, and watched a great part of the community grow. After I left, she stayed ever vigilant, being a huge influence to the community and watching the backs of the ones she loved. When I returned, I could see she had become a pillar of strength for so many here. 

There have been some great contributions from people who feel similarly, right under the cut! If I have forgotten anyone, please let me know.

Weekly Spotlight!

I wish to nominate @askcoracle for the weekly spotlight. I’ll try my best to express why, sometimes words are stupid.

Character-wise, Coracle is fun, sweet, and sexy. She’s not perfect, she lets her desire to protect her children get the better of her, even causing conflict with the people she loves. But her heart is in the right place, and she truly does love with all of her being. 

Art-wise, the blog itself is stunning. I’ve watched the mun, Friday, draw and paint in streams (sometimes without her knowing) and I’m just in awe from how gorgeous it all looks. The way she paints and shades and GOSH I wish I could get anatomy and positioning to look as dynamic as she does.

As for the mun herself, she’s like a mother figure to most of us. Remember when she made a series of posts promoting safe-sex practices? Being concerned for others and making sure they’re okay and safe is a very common thing for her. She’s there for me and many others when we’re having a hard time. She’s been a shoulder to cry on many times for me. She’s one of my best friends and I truly believe that she deserves a spotlight.

Sorry guys, there’s no spotlight this week! I wanted to try something new, and I didnt want to distract from any current spotlight.

I would like to take the opportunity to put the spotlight in your guys’s hands! Now, this blog is already ran primarily on nominations, but I wanted to run a sort of guest week with your guys’s help!

If anyone would be so inclined, please use the submit button to create a post for the next spotlight! Be sure to clearly announce who you want to spotlight, why you chose them, and maybe something that made them special to you. If you are artistically inclined, this is a great time to add an image as well.

I’m accepting five submissions, each to be queued and posted once a week on spotlight day, and will serve as that weeks spotlight! My only stipulation is that it isnt a blog or mun that has been featured before (I have a running list. ;D) or a brand new blog that hasn’t made many posts.

Oh my the spotlight this week goes to @askacidbones does it, well what can i say about them honestly

They are one of the best friends i have known and someone i consider family at this point, i cant trust them with almost anything and talk to them about almost anything. They are one of the nicest most kind hearted people i have met in my life and they are always there if need a hand or an ear to listen.

She is a blast to talk to and i enjoy every chance i get to do so and she even listens when i start to ramble

Her artwork is top notch amazing 10/10 stuff, her characters are even better all being so complex and fun to see and fun to interact with even if its a small interaction. Oh and lets not forget her top notch plots and writing skill like hoooly shit amazing.

Honestly i could say alot more, about how caring they are to their friends or how much of a badass they can be sometimes but i dont want to fill the dash here.

Congrats on the spotlight hun, you honestly deserve it

Orange ( @asktehkoopz ) is a huge nerd who’s representation of Larry Koopa helped me become more comfortable with my own genderfluid gender identity and that’s why I had to draw this real quick on my lunch break because I had to show my appreciation somehow.

Huh cant really say i know em too well, would love to but i aint got to that so i cant say much about who they are but i can say this. Alot of people look up to them and have been inspired to join the community and improve because of them. Many people love their artstyle and how cartoonish and expressive it is and even the shaping and posing ooooh its all lovely.

Their blog full of odd little koopalings is a joy to watch and behold from the Little posh ludwig to the giant palm tree iggy they are all so much fun to see on the dash and even more fun with their interaction with other characters like pom and the other dimension koopalings from seven siblings.

For how long they have been here and how many people they have inspired to be here with us they well deserve this spotlight

Weekly Spotlight!

This week, the spotlight goes out to someone who first got me hooked into this community. This is by no means a “small” blog for our community, but just because they’re a little more popular, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to see our love and appreciation! 

This week’s spotlight goes out to @asktehkoopz!! Their art has been consistently amazing throughout the years, even as it evolves into new forms again and again. They continue to provide engaging plot, and man, the way they interract with other blogs is also really friggin cool. I love seeing them do art memes especially, cause they always put such a unique twist on it.

Anyways, lets call today Iggy Day, (as the blog was originally iggy and the koops) but feel free to show your appreciation to your favorite koopakid or the mun themselves!
