Fabricating the Undesired Past - Image Manipulation Deciphered (2018)
I dissected image manipulation into four key attributes: Time, Purpose, Tools and Action. These elements are universal and omnipresent in every tampered photo, across cultures and times. I believe that the nature of image manipulation has changed over time, from blatant erasure to managing perception.

Identity design for Freemasons of the Netherlands.
Target group: Millennials – Why? According to Metro News, Freemasons want to recruit more millennials due to descending number of members.

The Freemasons have extremely structured, hierarchical system for its members. I incorporated this notion into the identity. I designed emblems for each step, or as Freemasons call it, degrees.
I decided to design patches to be worn with (any) clothing. In the past, Freemasons were able to distinguish one another from certain handshakes. However, these handshakes are not secret anymore and can be found online. I wanted to find a new way to communicate the membership.
Sewing patches to clothing enable its wearer to maintain their personal style (which is important for millennials) and distinguish other Masons.
