Fuck You Howard - Daniel Lopatin

David Bailey - Marie Helvin Wearing a Nightdress by Stan Herman for Charnos (Vogue 1974)
I know norma’s delusional attempts to make max fall in love with her are meant to be sad and they are, but at the same time... I have to say I just love her antics
Sunset Boulevard (1950)
hello in 2019... I miss this blog... I miss when I used to love movies....
Death in midsummer
A few estival horror films for longer days and the coming Summer.
The Living Dead Girl
Catherine in her white funeral dress, walking through a meadow like she’s hypnotized, a hazy June mirage.
Don’t Deliver Us from Evil
All the boredom and abandon of a summer with no school. Not being able to see past vacation or even a few days ahead and taking rituals too far.
House
Another summer break gone bad. Watermelons change to heads and a humid soft focus fills every scene.
Messiah of Evil
Like not sleeping for several days due to the heat. Dreaming with your eyes open while taking aimless walks through an unfamiliar but inescapable town.
A Virgin Among the Living Dead
You can feel the thick air when Christina wanders in the forest, sleep walks through the garden, swims in a lily pond and eventually joins the queen of the dead.
Kagero-za
Women’s souls trapped inside of cherries, a man being lured to his death and doppelgangers against a backdrop of high summer lushness.
Valerie and her Week of Wonders
A cinematic plate of overly ripe fruit whose skins are about to split from too much juice. I’ve always associated this with Bruno Schulz’s descriptions of August almost as much as with Nezval’s original. “Blazing with sunshine and scented with the sweet melting pulp of golden pears.” As heady as it gets
Queens of Evil
Sister witches alone in a forest, living on cake and idling in chiffon and humidity. An unexpected visitor wanders into their secluded woodland, trapped but unaware.
Ganja and Hess
Ganja and Hess are bound together by destructive love and vampirism. Juice and nectar mimic blood on Ganja’s fingers and lips. For the final weeks of summer when the first leaves fall and fruit begins to rot.
At the Meeting with Joyous Death
The full and blooming garden turns ominous, animals act strangely and objects move on their own when a manor becomes haunted by a living girl as she enters adolescence. Ivy grows uninterrupted, time no longer exists.
Portrait d'une jeune fille de la fin des années 60 à Bruxelles [Portrait of a Young Girl at the End of the 1960s in Brussels] (1994) - Chantal Akerman

Mixing alcohol with prescriptions is one of the most dangerous forms of concurrent drug and alcohol abuse. When one sedative is ingested with another, this can severely compromise the central nervous system, slow down response time, and induce extreme nausea, coma, and death. Other side effects (depending on type of drug taken) include: hallucinations, paranoia, drowsiness, increase in depressive states and light-headedness, which may interfere with your concentration and ability to operate machinery or drive a vehicle, and lead to serious or even fatal accidents.
this is honestly... the most russian shot in takovsky’s filmography
Do you have some fave william shatner movies ?
honestly this is so difficult because I am currently in the grip of Shatsanity and am not yet an expert on him… rn I’m watching Star Trek and at the same time have recently watched 11 movies as well as various TV episodes starring him and the thing is… he’s done A LOT of work of varying qualities a lot of it has been in obscure and critically panned TV movies and it makes my heart bleed when people condemn the low budget trash he was in during the 70s because a lot of it is actually really good ! people watch it to laugh at his overacting and bad toupees because after Trek he was reduced to the D list but I honestly do enjoy a lot of his work he’s an amazing actor w a v unique style… I’ll include youtube links for the ones available on there…
anyways I’ve already mentioned Incubus (1966), the gothic horror in Esperanto, and Impulse (1974) where he’s a gigolo serial killer those are my top 2 here’s some others I love:
- Big Bad Mama (1974) this movie soo good it’s like a lower budget and trashier Bonnie and Clyde, Angie Dickinson is so sexi and cool in it and Shat is one of her biches along with Tom Skerritt it’s a sleazy and exciting road trip crime movie… truly a feminist holy grail lmao since Angie plays a badass bootlegger who owns the mens
- The Intruder (1962) Shat plays a racist and evil white trash who is pro segregation and who slowly gets shredded throughout the movie for being such a bich he gives an amazing and disturbing performance in this movie abt the ugliness of white southerners
- The Devil’s Rain (1975) this movie is scary lol Ernest Borgnine plays a Satanist goat creature and Shat is like the hero who.. fails at stopping him and gets tortured for the whole movie watch if u want to watch Shat being tortured
- Sole Survivor (1970) a haunting and tragic movie based on a Twilight Zone episode abt WWII soldiers whose dead bodies are stuck in the desert and their ghosts can’t leave… Shat is evil in this and gets shirtless so that’s always good
- The Tenth Level (1976) this movie is truly grim Shat is somber as he plays a morally decrepit psych professor who engineers an unethical science experiment.. it’s truly sad that this tv movie will never be seen by many because his acting in it is top notch @ all those who say he’s a ham acteur
ok my fingers are falling off I could include his 2 Twilight Zone appearances because he’s great in them as well as his appearance on The Fugitive in which he plays a tragic serial killer he’s so good at playing unhinged ppl… and I still have so much more to watch these are just some
everyone’s review of the neon demon: it wasnt very good and i really loved it
