{ She sighs, chewing at the insides of her cheek as she pursed her lips slightly at the antics of the girl. She knows she doesn’t really mean to truly terrorize the kingdom — but it could only really mean a few things. The most prominent one that comes to mind is the fact that the Vampire was probably bored out of her mind.

Or at least, bored enough that she would actually come to the Candy Kingdom just to get a rise out of her.

The worst thing she could do is give in to her whims, but she does have stuff to do. Experiments to perform, events to plan, pudding to eat, and a kingdom to run and all.

What she does do is hold her hand out expectantly for her butler. She doesn’t really think he appreciates being used to mess with her — or shaken, really. }

What do you want, Marceline? If you’ve come all the way here to visit surely you’ve got some business with me? You could have just gone the civil way and gone straight up to my castle instead of terrorizing my poor people to summon me.

Yaaaaaawn. How boring it is to give in to orders. So she doesn't. No, she'd much rather toss Peppermint Butler in the air a few times and catch him playfully, tilting to float on her back and cross her legs in pure nonchalance. "Civil ain't my dig," she says, not exactly denying the fact that Bubblegum had been the guest of the hour in her plan that wasn't much of a plan. She shifts to throw him in between her feet like a hacky sack for a few times before kicking him in Bubblegum's direction, leaning back to fold her arms behind her head and slide her eyes shut.

"Gobs, Bee, what's got you in a rut? You should be thanking me. This place is sooooooo boring at night."

She cracks open an eyelid just in time to catch the lollipop girl give a small yelp and hide behind a nearby pillar. "--Figured I'd liven the place up a bit. Keep ya busy!"

{ It’s rather hard to do science while her people are outside screaming and causing a general mayhem outside of her window — even Science seems a bit miffed since the candy corn mouse’s rest was disturbed by the shrill screams and panic. Of course, it’s a part of her duty to protect her citizens, so she pushes herself away from her desk and makes her way towards the window to check what the situation was.

Only to see an old friend trying to devour her butler.

Clutching at the window, the princess raises her voice loud enough to catch the attention of the vampire from her tower. }

Marceline!! Leave them alone!

{ Now that she knows what’s going on, she deemed that it’s necessary that she goes outside, so she does, making her way out of the tower and stepping out into the open where the Vampire Queen stood, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she furrowed her brows at the other. }

Marceline put him down!

Just the voice she was waiting to hear. All according to plan, if she'd even had one running; Marceline much preferred to act on a whim and shed blood just as playfully. She'd do nothing but laugh at the princess's orders, arms coiling tighter around the small figure's whimpering form.

And when Bubblegum came into view, she figured she should show some manners, being a guest in the kingdom and all. So she stood straight and dusted off the hem of her long shirt, toe of her boot tapping anxiously against the candied walkway as her arm muffled the pleas of Peppermint Butler.

"And who's going to make me, Bonnie? Not you, of course. That's outside your power--because I'm queen and you're just a princess."

Heaving a raspy chuckle, she lifted off the ground lightly and floated over to where the princess stood ever-so-casually, as if she had not just finished terrorizing the whole kingdom in one sweep. To add insult to injury, she offered a chill smile and gave the small peppermint a little shake before Bubblegum. "Wanna taste? I can share."

--Meanwhile, out in the Candy Kingdom Courtyard...

The sleekest shadow prowls among innocent sugarbits and snatches them in the hollowest pit of her grasp as she emerges from the darkness with a bat's glare and a sharp hiss that brushes past several rows of sharp teeth. "SSSSSSSSSSSTHO you think you can roam free while the SHE-MARE hungers?"

A low sizzle begins in the back of her throat as she opens her mouth wide, forked tongue sliding down the cool stripes of a particular butler's minty frame; the batlike screech growing loud enough to sound out all the screams of candy people running as fast as their little legs would take them. 

"Heh heh heh heh heh!"
