You Have My Attention: Jedi Apprentice First Lines
I think it's fair to say that I have a deep, deep love for this particular series. Despite the firmly middle-grade bent, I think the series had the space to explore a nuanced, deep relationship between Obi-wan and Qui-gon that has literally never ever been done better by any other book or movie or Disney+ show since. So how does each book catch a reader? Let's take a look at those first lines.
"The blade of the lightsaber hissed through the air. Obi-Wan Kenobi could not see its red gleam through the blindfold pressing on his eyes."
"The market place in the city of Bandor was bustling as Obi-Wan Kenobi strode through it. He would have liked to stop to buy a piece of muja fruit, but Qui-Gon Jinn's steps never flagged."

i personally relate really strongly to the covenant remnant because i too would park myself on the ur-didact’s front lawn and repeat his name every thirty minutes for three solid years
maybe every year or so I’ll just come back to tumblr to see how things look, and in the process of scrolling I’ll lose all motivation to actually try being active again ;A;

After five years (five long years) of internet friendship (of pure, ridiculous, sanity-giving friendship), I finally met the incredible-beyond-description @nitensalis!
@haruspis i can’t even figure out how to reply to your reply, so..s dghjkshd. everyone is just... gone! i stopped refilling my queue at the start of the summer and have had.. no motivation to maintain a presence when the UI is such garbage and most of the folks that made it bearable have moved on as well :|
