SITTING CROSS-LEGGED on the other’s bed, nayeon cuddled her puppy and pressed kisses along his soft back. she wasn’t going to admit she was suffering or felt like she was alone in the world -  nayeon had never been one to embrace feelings of sadness. and so she covered it with a smile along with a change in the subject or a mention of her puppy. soonshim had originally been gifted to nayeon as a depression pet and he’d become her strong support system where she allowed herself to mourn in the late hours of the night or the early hours of the morning where no one could see her. “what do you feel like eating? i’m kind of in the mood for some meat but then again i’m always in the mood for meat,” she stated, rummaging through the takeout menus in front of her. it was nice to be in the quietness of his home and not surrounded by flashing cameras, lawyers and journalists. “maybe some fried chicken, i haven’t had that for a while.”

jonghyun was sad but of course, probably not as sad as nayeon was. nonetheless, just seeing her picture on his phone made his eyes water. he had let her have some space following what happened since he imagined that's what was the good thing to do but now, he was at his limit. he had to see her now and made sure his friend knew he was there for her. he ran out of his apartment in a hurry, showing up at her door 10 minutes later. there, he hesitated. he couldn't show up empty handed right? as such, he walked to the nearest place selling food — which turned out to be a fried chicken place, ordered and went back to her door after. he knocked on her door softly a couple of times. ❛delivery!❜

     « the library had recently been isa’s favorite place to visit. aside from the quietness it brings, there were no sudden fights breaking out or shouting happening unlike the outside where security guards have taken over the place due to what happened recently. so far she’s approximately read around fifteen books during the time that she didn’t have any classes. today she thought that maybe reading a classic would be interesting. romeo and juliet was something she wasn’t exactly keen on reading due to the ending where they both ended up dying and because she found the family rivalry quite stupid. their families were quite petty and it was tragic to read about quite a tragic, according to isa, story. she was about to stand up and put back the book since the library would be closing in a few minutes when she felt someone looking at her, causing her to look up. “hi, can i help you with anything?” she asked. »

jonghyun spent most of his time reading his fortune and following everything his horoscope tells him to do. typical. sometimes though, he was actually being a model student and studied at the library (he knows very well he'd do nothing if he stayed in his room) like he was doing today. he had some homework to do and figured he'd do it there but of course, it hadn't taken long for his mind to wander and for him to go look at his horoscope, looking at different sites to get the most information possible. there, it said he'd meet the love of his life that day and that his lucky color was red. of course, as soon as he read that, he looked around the room, spotting a girl with a red shirt. all of a sudden, it's like the girl had a big billboard saying 'love of my life' on it; he couldn't help but stare. ❛i mean— i like your shirt.❜ that was random. it was a nice shirt though, even if it hadn't been red. ❛what's your name? i'm jonghyun. astrology major.❜

She had thought for sure that by allowing herself t sit down she had just signed up for some blind date or something, but was pleasantly surprised when she found out that wasn’t the case but fortune telling was instead. “Ooh, really?” She asks, sitting up a bit in the chair. She had never gotten her fortune read, but whenever it was in movies or television shows she always found it quite interesting and entertaining. “I just pick any two?” She asks for clarification, head looking down at the card laid out in front of her on the table.  “This one and this one?” She points to two separate card, one close to the middle an another close to the end.

the girl seemed quite interested, which made him super happy. a lot of people thought he was a nerd, a weirdo and just ignored him or worse messed with his tarot cards; he had many friends and people who were nice to him but it was always a fun ride to have a stranger be nice as well. ❛that's right❜, he confirmed before turning the two cards she had chosen. the chariot and the ten of cups. ❛mhm— you'll have something difficult happen to you today — like a big test for example! but it should be fine as long as you don't give up. yes. also you might get in touch with someone you were once close to. that's fun right?❜

INNOCENTLY WALKING ALONG the campus as she was about to head over to their cafeteria for some food, jiyeon’s tracks were suddenly stopped by a male figure who seemed to be all too flustered. starling her, she had to put a hand over the midline of her chest, trying to hold herself together from the sudden appearance. who even thought that it was fine to do such a thing to people at this time of the day? however, she does give him a chance and listens to what he had to say.  a table? “wait, what––” was what came out of her lips first. her neatly tinted eyebrows rose upon hearing it, having her curl her fingers around the strap of the bag that she had. “why do we need to go over the table? are you going to give me something to eat because i’m starving.” despite how odd it was, jiyeon doesn’t even bother rejecting him out flatly. however, the first thing she had planned was her food and boy, did she need it. having to come with him, to do whatever it was that he wanted was making her feel a little apprehensive. she couldn’t figure out what it was exactly that he wanted, but as the two stood there she could only have her brain figure out so much as it was working with a lack in food to keep it running properly.

well— her words make him worry. should he had prepared some food? it was still early after all so it was plausible for her not to have eaten yet. he wasn't considerate enough. ❛i'll buy you some food after i promise! i'm sorry i don't have some prepared for you..❜ from now on, he'd have some snacks with him at all times so this situation wouldn't repeat itself. it was already weird enough for him to approach them, if he didn't have anything for them, he would probably get flat out rejected right? ❛it isn't anything bad, i just want to read your fortune!❜, he exclaimed quite happily as he showed his tarot cards. ❛i can look into something specific or just your fortune for the day— what do you thinK? cool right?❜

She was on her way back to get changed, eat something and head out to her classes for the day but before she could do that she had been stopped. She had been stopped and she was instantly confused and a bit taken aback but her feet followed him to the table anyways. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t curious as to what he wanted so she followed to find out the answer, “ What exactly won’t I regret?” She asks slowly sitting down across from him. 

he wasn't rejected and she had even sit in front of him. he hadn't expected to end up with such a nice person; with how early it was and how most people would ignore strangers, he had expected to have to work way harder than he had. her nice personality earned a bright smile from him. ❛i'm going to read your fortune for the day!❜, he exclaimed as he put his tarot cards in plain view. ❛it's not hard— promise! you just have to pick two cards.❜ by the time he finished his sentence, he had shuffled the cards and put them on the table in a line.

❛that's what i thought!❜, he exclaimed happily. he was happy to spend some time with the model, it had been a while since they had the chance to talk face to face. jonghyun could still remember the first time he had met nate — he didn't act like a crazy fan but pretty damn close? he pretty much just told him how attractive he was and that he should share some of his height with him..plus, of course, he had to take a picture. he would have never imagined they'd get along well. he turned out nicer than he thought he was as well. a bonus. in short, jonghyun was charmed and hoped the model enjoyed his company as much as he enjoyed his. ❛arm wrestle? do you want to try? i'm not much of a competition though❜, he said as he shuffled the cards and put them in a line on the table. ❛i'll read your fortune for the day — we can arm wrestle after i promise.❜

work had been STRESSING saeron out. maybe it wasn’t a smart idea to work on picking up a t h i r d job, but how the hell was she supposed to survive? her RENT had increased, she was still looking for a roommate and school … was just school, it always s u c k e d. the two ADVILS she had taken did not help soothe her throbbing headache. ❛ fuck. ❜ she groaned loudly as she rubbed her T E M P L E S, which helped only momentarily. she was heading to the cafeteria to grab some coffee before heading to the library and BULLSHITTING an essay. when someone L E A P E D at her, her fists balled up out of instinct and she held back every CURSE word she knew. she blinked a few times ( to actually be aware of her surroundings ) and locked eyes on a very FAMILIAR figure. first sangwoo, and now jonghyun? why was everyone from her PAST jumping up at her? what kind of sick game was the U N I V E R S E playing on her! ❛ why … ? ❜  she questioned, voice leaking with hesitation.

he certainly had not expected to run into saeron out of all people. from how their friendship had ended, all jonghyun could think was that she hated him. so, seeing her face up close and talking to her once again did make him quite scared. what if she confirmed his fear? ❛i mean— hi! long time no see?❜ truthfully, had he had recognized her earlier, he would have still approached her. jonghyun was the positive type, while he did worry about what she thought of him, he thought he shouldn't give up just yet. ❛i'm supposed to read your fortune right now❜ was he awkward? maybe a little, but a dare is a dare. he had to read her fortune no matter what. ❛you don't hate me right?❜, he said before he ran to the nearest table.

as soon as those words left his mouth, jonghyun smiled brightly, jumping slightly from the excitement. that's right!, is what he thought. ❛right right? i'm pretty nice actually i can get you food and take care of you when you're sick..❜ he pouted slightly at the mention of nerd. was that a bad thing? ❛you don't like nerds?... i like you though?❜ a confession out of the blue, well. jonghyun did have a good first impression of the other but he didn't mean it like what the other would probably think; it was more of a ' you're attractive and nice, it's not like i hate you?' kind of feel. ❛what —❜, jonghyun said, tears spilling onto his cheeks. ❛but — wh-why? i just wanted to talk to you? did that scare you? i'm sorry —❜, he said, looking up at the boy like a puppy that had been kicked. puppy eyes filled with tears. however, when he got the ok to speak from minho right after, jonghyun got rid of the tears with his sleeve and smiled slightly again. ❛i had a dare— to read the fortune of someone i found attrative— that's you by the way— what do you think? will you let me? i promise it's not bad...i won't rob you either and won't do anything that deserves punching!❜

her eyes followed his fingers, landing on her bottom lip that was trembling slightly. if she hadn’t been as fucked as she was right now, she’d scold herself for being so immature. as much as she hated appearing childish, nayeon knew that she appeared just like a young child when high. “you’ll find someone!” squealed the girl in response, hands instantly covering her mouth because of how loud she was being and how high pitched her voice had become. “no, don’t have sex with him! his dick is mine, it only likes me. it didn’t like me once so i cried and it didn’t respond when i poked it.“ nayeon paused. “i could say it around people but he’s most likely already fucked them. it’s the same if he said it to some other guys because i’ve fucked a lot.”

jonghyun winced slightly at her loud voice, laughing not long after. nayeon was someone people considered sexy or hot but all he could see right now was cute (of course, when she wasn't talking about sex, which she did kind of often). ❛my fortune says that if i have someone i like i should go for it...maybe i should decide on a random person and like them?❜ he had plenty of people around him that he liked; he was sure turning those feelings into romantic ones could be possible with a little effort. besides, while he was mostly friends with people some could consider scary, he had friends who didn't just think about sex around him as well. he'll see. ❛yeah..i guess i should have considered you guys's personalities. does that mean i'm the minority since i haven't slept with either of you?❜, he asked curiously. he wasn't planning on changing that anytime soon but it was kind of funny to think they'd had done it with so many people but jonghyun had never been on their radar.

everyone has insecurities — while jonghyun was always the living embodiment of the sun he, also, had things he disliked about himself. shocker. ❛i mean — i get attached to people too easily and i get hurt..❜ every person who ever came close to him, he considered a friend. ❛i also don't like that i'm so weird..there's a lot of people that laugh at me because i love tarot and horoscopes..❜ he didn't let that affect him too much usually but sometimes, the laughing did make him self-conscious. ❛but my least favorite thing would be...how emotional i am❜, he finally admitted.
