It was quiet between the two; the only noise they were eliciting was the soft intake of breathe each of them would take before exhaling. Two individuals lay side by side, facing each other on their warm, shared bed. One was sleeping whilst the other merely peered awake, fondly staring over his partner’s form.

The latter, a dark hedgehog with red stripes covering his spines, arms and legs, laid on his side, looking off to the side in thought as the other, a blue hedgehog with tan arms and stomach lay facing him, emitting soft snores.

The dark one huffed a quiet sigh. “He won’t be able to sleep well later tonight,” he thought, annoyed at the thought of his lover continuously tossing and turning throughout the night because he decided to take a nap earlier in the evening.

He stroked his lover's side tenderly, not wishing to rouse him from his peaceful slumber.

Though in the end, doing so caused the blue hedgehog next to him giggle in his sleep.

Surprised from this sudden reaction, he quickly pulled his hand away.

His lover let out an overexaggerated whine before opening one of his eyelids to look at him.

“C’mon~, I was enjoying that!” His lover complained. “You’re rarely affectionate like that. Indulge me this one time?” The blue hedgehog pouted, which only caused the dark one to huff.

He ignored his request with a roll of his eyes, opting chastise him instead. “Go back to sleep, Sonic.”

Meet Rough And Tumble, Two Brand-New Sonic Comic Villains
