I START WITH 6 COMMISSION SLOTS. First come first serve, by the time they are full I’ll open them again only once I’m finished with them all.
If you want a slot and you know what to ask me to do please send me an email at [email protected] subject titled "Auro commission". In the email, include your selected commission type and any other details about your commission. Visual reference must be included, and if it’s a comic you want, please include your storyboard.
🚨🚨 EDIT of the 5/10/2023: SECOND SESSION IS OFFICIALLY PAUSED. I’ll be working on the 6 slots commissions that made it before the technical difficulties with Paypal (mentioned in the last reblog). If something changes I’ll be reopening the remaining 4 slots!💪🎨 If not, I’ll be seeing you at the next session directly :’>
✨Please read all the details that are written down below under Read More before sending any email. If something is not clear do ask about it! ✨
This list can be updated at any time if situations and/or experiences demand so.
IMPORTANT:
Currently I don’t work under deadlines, and I don’t do rush jobs. I guarantee that clients will be kept updated on progress of their respective commissions. Please keep that in mind before asking for a commission and I thank you so much for your patience.
If the goods are meant to be showcased in videos or other projects of the kind (permission must be discussed beforehand), please give proper credit and link to my pages (instagram, deviantart or just one of them) in the description.
The goods will be distributed digitally only. Printing is only allowed for personal use and you cannot resell the commission under any circumstances or claim to be the original author of the artpiece.
Unless it has been agreed otherwise, I’m able to choose to display the commissioned art on my galleries and portfolio to promote my work.
I do not allow my art to be used for NFTs, training AIs or crypto transactions.
Things I can draw… Characters from shows/anime, video games and manga/comics I’m familiar with (examples: Sonic The Hedgehog, Homestuck, Pokémon, NiGHTS, Skullgirls, Splatoon, Hades (by Supergiant games), The Legend of Zelda, YuGiOh!, Promare, Undertale/Deltarune, The Owl House, Trigun, Dr. Stone); characters from a series I’m not familiar with if given proper references; crossovers, fantasy, scifi, animals, fanfic illustrations, OCs (if given proper references), and possibly more. Feel free to ask!
Things I will not draw… Gore, vore, rape, abuse, offensive themes (racism, transphobia, homophobia, etc.), RPF (real person fanfiction) or shipping real people, I reserve the right to refuse any request.
Upcharges
My limit of characters to draw in one picture/comic is 1, you will be charged for every additional character in the drawing. For an illustration, the price will be multiplied by the number of total characters. The backgrounds will remain one charge. For a comic, every additional complex character is $30 for a pencil page, $40 for an inked page, and $50 for a coloured page.
If your character has a complex design (Examples: detailed armor, complex clothing or jewelry, additional features…) a charge of $15 will apply.
Excessive changes will be charged. On your third and every subsequent major modification request, you will be charged $20.
My limit for short comics is 1 page. If you want more, it will be multiplied by the number of pages and type of commission (ex. a 2 page pencil comic is $100 x 2 = $200).
HOW TO PAY:
You will receive an invoice from my Paypal email once the commission has been agreed upon. I will not start working on the commission until the invoice is paid. No refunds. Payment in euros is preferable, if possible. Otherwise USD is always accepted.

[COMIC PRICING]
The client has to show me the storyboard or script of the scene that I’m meant to follow in the desired commission.
maybe i like pulling out my debit card instead of using apple pay. maybe i like untangling my wired headphones. maybe i like typing something into the search bar instead of using siri or whatever. maybe i like curating my own social media feeds over an algorithm. i just don’t think everything has to be perfectly streamlined and efficient i like it when things feel tethered to the real world.

Part of the @ockissweek event from Feb. 9-15th, featuring Justice and Kindness from Pride & Justice
<- Day 2 – Day 4 ->
Contains: familial/sibling relationship, goodbye scene, christian angels in christian heaven
Tips are appreciated!
The edges of his fingers started to crumble, burning to ash in Heaven’s light. They didn’t have much time.
“Go,” Justice said. “I’ll find you.”
Pride laughed, short and brief and a bit too much like a sob. “You better. Or I’ll climb back up here and kick your ass."
Justice tried to smile. He willed his hands not to tremble. “I promise.”
Standing at the very edge of the clouds, Pride closed his eyes. His jaw clenched. Justice tried not to think about what he must have been remembering.
He fell.
-
Justice intended to keep his promise.
Frantic with purpose, he shouldered past dozens of angels to the armory. They stared after him, murmuring to him or about him—he didn’t care. He couldn’t care. He didn’t have time. Ichor flowed again in his veins, and the thrum of power tunneled his vision to a single point.
Reaching Heaven again felt like gasping after months of being held underwater. In his time on Earth, his power had drained so gradually he’d almost forgotten what it felt like to have any. To be divine, cosmic, to feel the minds and hearts of humanity and angels and the ever-constant presence of God. If he could afford to stop and think, he might be dizzy.
He couldn’t afford anything but action, now. Honesty was dead, Pride’s contract was fulfilled, and his fragile body had nearly collapsed under the weight of Heaven. He didn’t have a choice but to return to Hell, to restore himself, to continue existing at all. Even if it meant being cast out a second time.
But this time Justice would be there. Justice would find him, and they would escape together.
Rows and rows of glittering silver flashed in his eyes, the armory greeting him in all its splendor. Justice didn’t admire it. Automatically, his hands reached for mail and plate, tearing it from its resting place and clapping it on. He didn’t even acknowledge what he grabbed as pieces adjusted and straps tightened of their own accord. They were merely shapes. Pieces of the puzzle that would complete his goal.
The one thought he allowed to slip through was how strange it felt to be back in his armor. He hadn’t worn this since—
“Justice.”
The tunnel of focus widened and he froze.
Slowly, not ashamed but sobered, he turned to face Kindness. She was right behind him. He hadn’t realized he wasn’t alone. He wondered how long she’d been behind him.
“You’re leaving.” It wasn’t a question.
Justice nodded shortly. “I have to.”
Kindness twitched forward, her mouth almost opened, and he knew what she wanted to say. He didn’t have to—not forever. But they both knew he wasn’t coming back.
“You’re so different now,” Kindness said, a misty smile on her face.
“I’m not, really.”
“You are. Maybe you can’t see it, but…” She reached up to brush his cheek. “My little brother is all grown up.”
Justice fought his tears and failed. Quiet grief streaked down his face. Kindness sniffed and brushed them away with her thumb.
“You can come with us,” he offered, and knew she’d shake her head before the sentence was out of his mouth.
“No,” she said. “We have an opportunity for real change with Honesty gone. Someone has to lead it.”
“You’ll be better at it than me.”
“Definitely.”
He laughed wetly, and she took his gauntleted hands. The glistening plates over his fingers clicked with every move.
“Can you forgive me?” he asked, and now he was ashamed.
Kindness smiled so warmly, so sincerely, he wanted to cry all over again. She took his face in both hands and pulled him down to press her lips against his forehead. Justice watched his own teardrop break from his face and drip to the floor. Kindness made him look into her eyes, welled with grief but rigidly stern.
“Find him,” she said, an order. “Don’t you dare feel guilty.”
Justice swallowed thickly. This was the last time he’d ever see his sister.
He scooped her into a hug, crushing her against his cuirass. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” she said, arms thrown around his neck. “And I’m so proud of you.”
He let himself stand there for a moment longer, committing everything about Kindness to memory. For the rest of whatever life he had left, he wanted to always remember how it felt to hug his sister.
As he put her down, the tunnel vision crept in. His sword hand wandered to his hip, anticipating the fights he’d have to win to simply get to Pride. Much less the ones they’d have to win to claw their way out.
“Go,” Kindness told him, and stood aside. “Get him out safe.”
Justice nodded, to her and to himself, the remnants of tears drying on his cheeks.
This is also important because until 1951, Indigenous kids were not allowed to dance at pow wows. It was illegal for them to participate. This is not only heartwarming, but an act of defiance against the ongoing oppression and genocide sanctioned by the Canadian government.
i'd like to add that the shadow color isnt necessarily dictated entirely by the primary light source, but the bounce light! so for the example of a sunny environment, the reason the shadows are blue are because of the light from the blue sky reflects across the environment; but, if the character were to be under tree cover, the bounce light would be coming from the leaves and thus the shadow would look greener.
James Gurney is an absolute master and gives really good clarity on colour techniques. Yes, it is traditional paint focused, but the principles are the same. Yes it is informed by the environmental colour but as a painting technique it is achieved this way!
I would also suggest that in digital processing, rather than apply a regular colour layer at a mid opacity, try out the different types of layers, Eg. Screen or Multiply. This can give you at least a starting point to help direct your colour palette.
Layer Blend Modes are so so so important to working in digital art. There's a ton of math that goes into figuring out how the layers should blend together, which is why some of the modes you can pick are literally called Multiply, Add, Divide, and Difference (that's subtraction). The graphics software takes the color values of your base and blend layers and runs a calculation to get your resulting layer appearance. The ones that don't have specifically mathematical sounding names are still doing calculations, but they're more complicated (think linear Algebra and higher). Some of them, like dodge and burn, are named for actual photo editing techniques.
While it's not super important to know about the mathematical side of blend modes, I think it's worth knowing at least enough about how each of the categories of blend modes works and why they do what they do; if for no other reason than having a starting point when you start experimenting with them in your work.
An overview of the basic blend modes and how they work from Genevieve's Design Studio: Accessible with minimal color knowledge; practical and illustration focused. https://youtu.be/kMc87hQrJd0?si=TWCB365pKSfWS8p0. (16 minutes) This creator also has a ton of free resources you can download, including a Blend Modes cheatsheet, but fair warning: you have to create an account to get them!
Want to learn even more about the math-y stuff? It has great film visuals! A video from FilmmakerIQ: You need some basic knowledge of RGB color models, understanding of values/luma, and at least a tenuous understanding of Algebraic formulas.
