To be fair the assumption is probably that they’re having one of those coffees per day and Netflix every month so the math in the reply is actually off.  It should be.. hmm... $3,894.  So that’s... uh... not better.

Ah, but that monitor implies a computer to go with it.  So that’s another ~$1,000 right there.  Wait that’s a drop in the bucket.

Okay hang on, what if they’re getting a new PS5 every month? Like at the end of the month the hard drive is full on the PS5 and, lacking a college education, they just throw the whole thing out and buy a brand new one on the 1st of the next month?  THEN it would be all the way up at... 10,394.  Hmm.  That is still about a quarter of what they would need to pay for tuition.

Okay so then let’s imagine they ALSO throw the $1,000 computer out once per month for the year.  Yeah, that should do it.  That would be... $21,394.  We’re only halfway there.  Shit.
