Setting my personal feelings aside, one thing that bugs me is that Jørn simply doesn't write any music at all anymore. He's never been the main songwriter, but now he does absolutely nothing and his guitarists write all the music for him. He has to do nothing except be sober enough to record and go on stage, living off the legacy of his dead bandmates.

Jan Axel would have always found success, there is no doubt about it. I have my own opinion of him as well, but be that as it may, he is at least a (spectacular) musician who is always striving to better himself and give it his all. There wasn't a time where he didn't have a band or some project going on - not like Jørn, who, as everyone knows, wasn't exactly a sought after bass player.

I don't think I've ever heard Jørn actually speak about playing bass, or trying to find his own unique technique, at least not in the past...what, 20 years? 25 years? Not everyone can be a Lemmy, but I don't remember anyone say that he is one of the greatest bass players of all time (even the google AI summary hilariously sums up his legacy).

I'm not saying that he doesn't love music, because of course he does, I'm talking about his own musicality and work.
