background & personality.
Born in San Francisco to Elizabeth and Arthur Riva. His parents split when he was two, which meant he was soon splitting his time between San Francisco and London. As Jamie got older, he spent less time with his father overseas, staying firmly planted in California.
Jamie has always had a love for music, likely stemming from his father bringing him to a myriad of shows from a young age.
Jamie’s mother put him in piano lessons at the age of three, which he continued pursuing throughout his youth. Eventually he added cello and guitar to his repertoire.
Jamie was gifted his first record player for his tenth birthday, which quickly became a part of his personality.
Jamie attended San Francisco Conservatory of Music, majoring in composition.
In his free time, he started writing music and uploading songs to bandcamp. His first EP, ‘Snot Songs’ was an instant hit in the indie alternative scene.
Post graduation, Jamie was offered a spot opening for a major singer. We cheered! Yay!
After the tour, Jamie moved to Cascade to settle and work on his first LP. How fun.

Partially deaf in his left ear.
Two albums released under the name ‘Guttering’. Moderately popular enough to do a few tours, opening for some bigger names. Jamie would say most of his fans like pretentious crap. He sort of fits right in.
Has been in and out of Cascade since settling three years back. Records most of his music in his home. Doesn’t like to be recognized so he appreciates that no one really bothers him in Cascade.
Done a few live recordings in various spots in Cascade, primarily hitting up the rumored haunted joints.
Has a cat named Gravy.
Holds dual citizenship, being both an American and British citizen due to his parents.
