people who erase bellamy’s importance annoy me more than i can describe.

not only is he a south-east asian man, but he’s also the lead man of the show. he was given a traditionally female name and doesn’t conform to the usual tropes of toxic masculinity in modern media: he cries openly, takes care of everyone and bases most of his impulsive choices on emotion.

but while all of the above is true, he’s not desexualized or made to fit some sort of bullshit “feminine man” stereotype, as he is still portrayed as an alpha male, an inspiring leader who has a big heart and is intelligent at the same time.

he’s a fucking hero. he’s revolutionary, and everyone who says otherwise is simply dead wrong.

On any other day, this would have been a NIGHTMARE. While being out after curfew was nothing that would get you CONFINED, it certainly wasn’t a P O P U L A R thing with the guards. She had made as good of an attempt to AVOID them as she could && normally, while studying late with Wells, she COULD avoid them with relative ease.

JUST KEEP QUIET. Glass lectured herself, listening to the set of footsteps beside her. Her stomach tied in knots, trying to keep blue eyes looking ANYWHERE except the Waldenite walking next to her. Her hands intertwined with each other, fiddling nervously.

Glass was NEVER this nervous around guards, nor boys. But something about the way this one walked && held himself was { INTOXICATING } to her. Not to mention the way the corners of his lips twitched into the smallest hint of a smile. The silence was beginning to KILL her.

❝ Luke, right? I uh-- I heard the other guard say it. ❞

AND HE SAID IT, GLASS. The girl mentally slapped herself, trying her hardest not to show her DISAPPOINTMENT in herself to the young man beside her. Her pace slowed, glancing him up and down.

❝ You...you really didn’t have to walk me home. I do know the way. ❞

After all the CHAOS of the crash to Earth, relief had washed over the young woman upon seeing Wells once more. There had been RUMORS in Confinement that Wells had been ARRESTED, but Glass hadn’t had enough time in the { COMMOTION } of Bellamy’s hostage situation && her escape to actually SEE him. It was only when she had returned to Phoenix that these rumors had settled within her, a DREAD rushing over her.

&& truly, she didn’t even feel she DESERVED that relief. Glass had been AWFUL to him before her arrest, but how could she have explained that at the time? Every day, she would see messages from him on her chip && the pangs of guilt rivaled the pangs of her morning sickness..

Blue hues searched Wells for any changes on his skin, memorizing them once more. As much as she wanted to VOMIT all the words out, they got caught in her throat && she felt once again like a stupid Phoenix girl-- NOT a survivor.

❝I’m so sorry, Wells.❞

The words came out cracked && broken, uncertain as to what SPECIFICALLY she was apologizing for, but the emotion pouring out all the same. The blonde shook her head, the smallest hint of a smile forming upon her lips. I’M SORRY ABOUT YOUR DAD. No. I’M SORRY YOU HAD TO COME DOWN HERE. No.
