"--well, y'know first thought was that you were a human - but if memory serves me correctly, they don't got the components of turnin' purple while they're - y'know - alive," there was a 'lax chuckle - stuffin' hands to pockets, offerin' her a 'dog free of charge, "--you seem pretty cool. what's 'yer name, kitten?"

If the fact she hadn’t been used to seeing monsters by now, seeing him would have warranted a much more alarming response – but instead she blinks curiously, head tilted up to try and better see the face of this gargantuan creature.

It wasn’t a surprise he’d first mistook her as a human. She had the physical appearance of one; for the most part. Though, what exactly was he? The dark patches on his face gave him the appearance of a skeletal man – was that just a mask though? He seemed civil either way… pretty chill.

But then there’s his gesture of offering her a hotdog. This guy couldn’t be all bad, especially if he’s giving away food. She sets aside physical appearance and greedily takes the hot dog, eyes wide and huge smile on her face.

“Hey thanks! ’Name’s Amethyst, dude.” she shoved the entire hotdog in her mouth, barely taking the time to chew it before she swallowed it – she was never one for table manners, “I’m a gem, so you’re right about the whole not human bit - but hey, what are you? I’ve seen some crazy things, but never someone like you– is that some kind of a mask?”

“Ahww thanks! My hair is pretty cool, huh?” she takes her hand and flips her long silvery lilac hair up and over her shoulder.

She looks at her, grin quickly spreading across her features with hands placed on her hips almost triumphantly.

“But if you like it now! You should see what it can really do in action! See -- my hair is pretty great, especially in a fight.”

“Wait, so you’re not a human dressed in some cool costume!? You’re a monster!?”

She nearly leaps off the ground and bolts closer to her. Her eyes were wide and filled with awe-- she’d never seen a monster quite like this before. The closest she’d come to seeing any monster was when a corrupted gem needed to be bubbled.

“Never seen a monster? Psshh! I see them all the time!” she waves her hand out with a laugh, shifting her weight onto one leg as she cocked her hip to the side, “I’ve just never seen one like you is all! I sort of guessed you weren’t a gem... I don’t see one on you.”
