Sagentoeter x Riharc Smiles x Trollferd (feat. Albin Paulus) - "Die Sennin"
"Die Sennin" (the herdswoman) was our contribution to the compilation "Wilde Jaeger", which dealt with alpine mysticism and customs, released by Steinklang Records in 2007.
Admittedly, we didn't take the subject too seriously - mea culpa - and so we decided to make a small musical radio play based on an old folk saga, in which a young dairymaid unwittingly asks the devil to dance and ultimately loses her soul.
I recently found this old video that I made a few years later just for fun on an old hard drive - well, and because it's easter right now, I thought I'd just put this eclectic work of art online, maybe one or the other will find it funny too...
I made this video of a friend's old footage-material from the early 90's, afterwards I made a sound collage to underline and emphasize the mood of it.
"Der Huus" is a creature right out of a friend's nightmare, when he was a little child, it appeared in the shadows of his room and tormented him with strange noises, but no one else could ever see it.
"Die Erfindung" is an unfinished and unreleased short film that a very good friend of mine shot in 1991 using the simplest of means. I didn't intentionally make any tweaks or changes other than minor color tweaks and a few overlays, because I wanted to keep the film's original charm.
With the music I tried to create an early 90's retro sound by only working with contemporary synthesizers (okay - only in plugin form, unfortunately I'm not that rich!), such as Roland Jupiter-8, Moog Modular, Oberheim OB-Xa, ARP Odyssey or the Minimoog.
I hope the world out there finds this film as charming as I do!
