Music from a new K-rock band, with Siyeon from Dreamcatcher as vocalist (and one of the songwriters). It's funny because I have a few Dreamcatcher songs in my playlist and even Siyeon's solo song Paradise, but I would have totally missed this if I didn't get more involved in k-pop recently. So besides the other cool music I've discovered (XLOV!) I'm also happy saw the news about ChRocktikal, because this whole album is great!

I think I've listened to Solann before but I'm not sure. This song came on my release radar playlist this week and I added it to my liked songs immediately!
I'm not sure what to call this genre of music but it works really well in french. Funnily the next song that came on was also in french, though a very different vibe. Maybe I also just like french in general, even though I barely understand it.

I should have known to be fair since I also never managed to finish those 'a song a day for a month' prompt challenges, and that's only 30 days.
Anyway, the last week of September I discovered XLOV (I don't remember how but not through Spotify) and now they're my top artist of 2025 in my Spotify wrapped. With only 10 songs released and 6 of those only on November 5th. Can you tell I'm obsessed?
This is currently my favourite b-side from the latest release, and I don't know how to explain why/where it fits into my music taste but I love it.

Today I want to share this song from KABEAUSHÉ, who I believe is from Kenya and currently living in Berlin. It doesn't sound like anything else I know and I was immediately hooked when I first heard it. The music video is also a work of art:

It's been a while since I've been here, a lot has happened in the world, but we're not here to talk about that today! Instead there is a new song to listen to, in Italian from Switzerland.
The only song so far released by this artist (besides a short prelude to this song), but I hope more songs will follow soon. I think they got a prize in a music competition last year, so hopefully they got some good things out of that to release more music.

I'm not sure what she's singing in the chorus, but the lyrics I found don't seem like the complete picture: "Where are we heading to?" To me it seems like she swallows half the syllables, but there is also another sentence. Or maybe that's just vocalisations?
I usually don't care the most about lyrics, but here they're just on that edge of 'it sounds like I should understand it, but I don't' that makes me curious.

I was wondering about the language of this song, it turns out it is a conlang! A friend found me an article about it in Italian that Google translate did a passable job of translating. For some reason I wasn't that surprised it was a conlang, maybe because of the kinda deconstructed way of using words/syllables, especially in the second half of the song?
