A knot spell to sever ties
Or a longer, less concise but more specific title: A knot spell to sever ties when you feel like someone you used to be close with but then had a bad falling out with might still be holding onto something of yours or holding some kind of connection to you in order to do magic against you.
I did this spell a few months ago & checked in with my pendulum today. My pendulum confirmed that the person I did the spell against, my evil ex who I unfortunately taught a lot of witchcraft to, no longer has a connection to me so I wanted to share it.
Materials needed:
A black string (black because the color corresponds with hex breaking, banishing, & warding off negativity)
A white candle (to enhance the spell. You could also use black for the same reasons listed in the previous item. Or another color that you feel best resembles your needs.)
A bowl of water (for safety)
A fire-safe bowl (for fire)
Protection incense (optional. Future optional steps will be in italics)
Instructions:
After casting your circle & putting up your necessary wards, meditate on your intention & light the candle.
Use the light of the candle to ignite the incense.
Hold the string in a way that suits you best to prepare for knotting.
As you begin to knot the thread, say allowed "Here is bound" followed by anything you wish to tie into the spell. For example: "Here is bound our every touch." "Here is bound my old white shirt" anything you want. You can say as many or as few things as you feel fit. Just be sure to be thorough. You can be as vague or as specific as you wish. I recommend a mixture of both.
When you feel as though you've covered all of your bases when it comes to binding things to the string, place the bowl of water between yourself and the candle. This is a precautionary act to ensure you don't hurt yourself.
Place the fire-safe bowl next to it.
At this point, hold the string over the flame of the candle and say, "With this, I burn the threads that hold you to me."
Carefully, light the end of the thread on fire. If you feel unsafe holding it, you can set it in the fire-safe bowl. If you feel the flame is overwhelming, drop it in the bowl of water. Try to get as much of the string burned as possible.
If there are any pieces left over that can't/won't burn, dispose of them somewhere they can never return to you.
Thanks for reading! Have a magical day!
