Special occasions often call for a quiet, intimate setting, one where a small celebration can be had away from the crowds of a big-name restaurant. In a current culinary world where many dining establishments have been built small on purpose, with communal chef’s tables and counter service, it can be difficult to come across a private dining space that feels completely exclusive. This year, however, there are a few newly opened restaurants that are offering an escape from the crowded, in-demand main dining rooms, often found in corners of the space that are unexpected and out of the ordinary.
