It’s genuinely interesting to me how the Oedipus Complex manifested in Shiv, who was raised and grew up in a deeply masculine and misogynistic environment.

She doesn’t seek for the authority figure (unlike Roman), she embodies it, she seems to be always seeking to possess the masculine power and authority (and therefore, the phallus). It’s no coincidence that she is the most similar to Logan compared to her brothers, but she is often rejected and considered inferior for not having a penis. In consequence, she strives and tries to convince herself she is more intelligent and capable than her brothers (even though she knows she will never be considered as well) and tries to exert the idea of having the phallus through her relationships.
