Still chipping away at the comic between shitposts. I'm a bit stuck on a panel that I'm not happy with. (Looks too cute, supposed to be more creepy). Also debating if I want to include Pierrot thoughts or just MC. I like knowing that he's thinking, but not knowing what they are but idk if that'll come across in comic form.

Also working on a one shot and Jester is in one (1) panel and I can't get him to look right.

My notes app is full of one shots to draw. I don't want to type them because I feel like a lot is lost without the masks being visible. Doesn't have the same unnerving quality.

I'm not sure if I'll draw this, so I wanted to put it out there. Not going to "in this essay I will" but rather just share some information.

Concept: Harlequin with pit viper characteristics. For those that don't know, pit vipers have specialized infrared sensing pits to locate prey (especially in the dark hmm hmmmm). They have vertical pupils. Arboreal forms have prehensile tails, some varieties use their tails as lures.

Also, they have hinged fangs. What a cool trait that would have interesting implications.

Look at these colours. I know there are a few green varieties all over the world, some notable ones from Brazil would include:

Bothriopsis taeniata

Bothriopsis bilineatis

Bothriopsis pulcher (range was inconsistent from what I found, so may not actually be in Brazil. Leaving it in the list because they are found in neighboring countries to the Northwest and also just look at them.)

Also just the drama of this one that I believe is from Indonesia. The dark backing, the bright green. How cool would this be as a design trait? Chef's kiss.

So yeah, personally my head canon has pit vipers as an inspiration.
