5 - What visions or hopes do they have for their relationship?
In an early stage, both assume that it is just a temporary thing, and so there is no vision. Somewhere in the middle the idea forms that this could last beyond the end of the RT events, mostly on Marazhai's end - he's dragged Yrliet to Commoragh before, he could do it again. Towards the end, and then in post-game events it's almost more of a "I hope this doesn't completely ruin me". They're both holding on to the blade of a knife. It's going to cut something from them, they just hope it won't cost them their entire hand.
22 - What is the one thing they would change about their partner and what would they keep?
I like to play with the evolution of this. At first, there is not even a partner, and they disdain who the other is fundamentally. They're both staring down their nose at the other, and seeing them as uncouth, weak, depraved etc. Eventually this moves to a rather cold acceptance of where the other came from, though both have their flavour of copium. ("She can't help being this weak" vs "The Dark Kin has their own needs, he can't change that"). Eventually both do change fundamentally and life forces them to shed what would have stood in the way. Something that in the Corsair phase probably keeps bothering Yrliet is how indirect you have to be with Marazhai, I don't think you can squeeze his ego out of him. You can get him to see your point, but you will have to be either subtle or machiavellian.
Something that will probably keep bothering him forever is how she puts distance between them when she is hurt rather than face him head on. But on the other hand, it puts him in the role of pursuer, and it's a dynamic that works for them.
36 - Do they believe they are worthy of the other's love or not and why is that?
I think this is a question that is difficult to apply to them. Marazhai considers any marks of outright affection as disgusting and weak. In a way, it's more of a taint. Yrliet in turn does not necessarily see the interest of one of her dark kin as a good thing either. It evolves, of course, but at first it's definitely not a good thing.
44 - Do they handle separation well? Can they withstand being apart or is it difficult? Is it harder on one or the other?
Well, this is not a healthy pair... so no, they don't handle it well. They often use separation as a way to punish or manipulate the other (though Yrliet does it out of self-preservation as well). When they're on the RT ship especially they are antsy when completely on their own. A lone Drukhari is easy prey, as Marazhai would say.
In their Corsair phase, the way I reconcile the ending slides with the dynamic is that at some point, sharing the same living quarters for centuries becomes a bother. Even if they are pair-bonded. But Marazhai, specifically, makes a point of adding mon-keigh to his "motley crew" because he knows it bothers her, as some for of giving her the finger for the separation. And still he can't shut her out either.
50 - Which room do you think they would use most if they lived together?
Depends a whole lot on what the circumstances are in which they live. Higher ups in Corsair hierarchies have luxurious rooms with several spaces, but the simpler ones have a shared sleeping room and that's it. I also imagine both would have their own tasks and assignments, and can't just sit around in a living room all day. So, probably the sleeping space, which might be the entire thing.
