Thought I’d put up/pin some links to my fanfics and all. 

Silver, Ash, and Bone is a completed Warhammer 40k fanfic, focused on a young, somewhat sheltered craftworld eldar and her relationship with a moody, tormented drukhari archon. Somewhat dead dove-y, make sure to read the tags, but, if I might be self-congratulatory, my favorite thing I’ve ever written. 

Roses, Chains, and Tears is a one-shot that retells certain events from Silver, Ash, and Bone from the archon’s perspective and contains spoilers for that story through Chapter 16

Kiarn!verse One Shots and Short Fics is exactly what it says - a collection of oneshots and shorter fics set in the world of my (soon to be reposted) Star Wars: The Old Republic fic.

I had the revelation the other day that falafel is the vegan answer to chicken nuggets, which is kinda cool (I'm not a vegan, but I do love falafel).

for you specifically, I will tell you that a volume of L.M. Montgomery short stories is currently sitting at #6 on my TBR pile

I've been pondering lately a need to revamp my wardrobe. I haven't bought a large number of new clothes in a long time, but what this means is that all the stuff I like and wear all the time is wearing out and leaving me only with the stuff I don't really care for or fits poorly, and it's starting to kind of bum me out. I'm not exactly a fashionista (most days I wear band t-shirts and flannels), but I think part of my frustration with my appearance recently has simply been that I don't like most of my clothes anymore

That, or it's time to finally pull the trigger on shaving half of my head like I've considered for several months

I'm honestly super tired right now and haven't done much of anything creative this weekend because I have been stuck doing a bunch of stuff for my graduate studies. A lot of the stuff I do is super cool at least in theory, but I don't think that there's any way to make "look up several thousand entries in a database and manually annotate some of the information in them to your own files" sound cool no matter how hard I try. And I am very tired and feel like I had no weekend - and I didn't even finish the project! Gotta keep going tomorrow!

But complaining aside, I've been working on some character design for my other rogue trader (not Euphrasie). It's surprisingly hard to design tattoos for characters you want to draw. It has to be something I think I can draw repeatedly/consistently, but looks cool and is appropriate to the character. Not to mention making sure I don't actually cover the poor girl in racist symbols or the logos of bands I've never heard of or something. I think I'm onto something loosely based on this one a guy at the gym had last week, but I'm still not ready to commit to anything yet.

I finished watching the original run of Twin Peaks for the first time this afternoon.

Really enjoyed the first season, although the second one kind of lost me, especially in the second half. I never had a bad time with it, though, and really appreciated the commitment to being weird and unique and not formulaic at all.

will probably watch Fire Walk with Me next weekend, although I need a bit of a break before starting Return

I think something I needed to hear a few years ago and still am wrapping my head around is how low the bar is for helping out someone in need. I tend to think in big picture terms of like "well I can't pay their rent" or "can't buy them a car" to get to a job, whatever the issue may be, and those real, concrete problems, but what I've encountered is that a lot of people need these things, yes, but they also need dish soap. I am consistently boggled at how a few dollars can make such a difference. Even beyond material support, something that I observe too is that sometimes--not all of the time! not even a majority of the time!--but sometimes, all people need is a listening ear because they're so overwhelmed they just need another brain. I guess this is a message to past and current batrachised, and to whomever else might find it helpful, that very often a little goes a long way, and not to hold that back just because it is little.

3. The best character you've written for

I try not to have favorites among my children, but I will answer for three separate things - most fun to write for is Archon Valthiel Aire. Most complex/interesting character is a warhammer fantasy OC I haven't talked about much on this blog before. And the one I relate to/emotionally connect to the strongest is Jian for sure.

4. The best ship you've written for

I'm not counting all my ocXoc ships because that feels against the spirit of the question. So if I just look at stuff that has at least one canon character involved, it's definitely MarazhaiXYrliet. It's such an amazing ship with two amazing character who each have a lot of interesting facets to explore and I never quite feel like I do it justice.
