Cause lets be real he would talk all of his friends out of doing something as stupid as offing themselves (especially if the reasoning is not ideally the best reason to do so) but him struggling with his own feelings post the events of the game because he still feels guilty for lying to his friends and it turns into massive depression waves to the point of becoming suicidal.
