This is my void and I will ramble about what I please. Mainly because I have so many thoughts today lol.
I miss being younger and having the time to read a fat ass book in one day. Luckily my mom shares her audible account with me so I'm getting back into the habit of listening to books. I had relistened to the first 7 of the Miss Fortune Mystery series by Jana DeLeon last year and I am currently on book 8 (which is what I think is the first book that isn't a relisten from when I was 16...damn that was 10 years ago). I definitely will not be able to catch up before the release of book 30 tomorrow but hopefully by the time I do, my mom will be done with her 100th reread of the series and we can start it around the same time. I cannot recommend the Misfortune series enough. Cassandra Campbell is a phenomenal voice actor.
Last year I also started and abandoned the Brutal Birthright series by Sophie Lark for a few different reasons. I finished book 4 and could not make myself finish the series. Then I found out about the racist rhetoric she gave her MMC in Sparrow and Vine and put her on my DNR list. Just wish I'd found that out before buying 4 of her books </3.
But yeah. Jana DeLeon the goat and I'm definitely not biased because I live in Louisiana
