The Great Divides of Seirei.

Chimera

The unwanted children of the Plane of Seirei, a chimera is the result of when two different species of different divides procreate with each other. Due to the Order of Uniformity, any uniformed species can procreate with another. When the differences are too vast however, a chimera is the result.

Unknowable shapes and sizes, and untapped potential. Chimera are the only of the Great Divides that are usually known to have biological superpowers, making them touched by the animus. This means they may have natural mystical abilities, making them similar to animus beasts. As such, chimera tend to be shunned, and seen in poor light by many across Seirei. Only some are welcoming to these fascinating beings.

Invertebrates.

Those who do not conform to any one true shape, and therefore, uniformity. Invertebrates are always innovating their genetic code, adapting, pushing the limits of their shells, always evolving. They are some of the most efficient workers out there, and as such when they do embrace uniformity, the higher intelligence and genetic blueprint of a humanoid shape, their productivity increases significantly.

Invertebrates rarely conform to Uniformity however, seeing that the process of becoming a a uniformed species does not often occur to them. Death is not seen as the end, and does not trouble most invertebrates. As such a species will very rarely need to embrace it. They generally believe they are the most unified of the divides, due to their inclusivity of each other. There are few classifications for each other, only the acceptance that they are the Ever-Changing.

Birds of Paradise.

The surviving remnants of some of the wildest species that dominated the lands before Uniformity. The ancestors of these beasts have found their wings, and found their paradise. They are the remnants of the terrible lizards, the dinosaurs. (A term they tend to dislike!)

Birds of Paradise are the ancestors of these ancient species, and have since changed quite a fair share. Many have gained the ability to fly, and others have found equally as thriving lifestyles. They could not boom in every territory by this point, and as such have moved around their fare share throughout history.

Something they tend to have in common is bright colours as vibrant as their personalities. They are peaceful and generally quite sheltered/isolated from the rest of the world.

The Great Divides of the Plane of Seirei.

True Birds

Birds in Seirei are perhaps the most booming and varied of the Great Divides. They have have so many different unique lifestyles, even they cannot agree with each other. As such, True Birds are divided by their beliefs and have frequent fighting amongst each other.

Most of this fighting is kept to the southern continent, which the True Birds dominate. However, they can still be found elsewhere frequently. Birds are known to be conceited for their ability to fly, something they were built for even if some birds have strayed from that path.

They are adamant on being different than Birds of Paradise.

The Great Divides of the Plane of Seirei.

Amphibia.

The intermediaries between life on land and the water, the origin of all life. Amphibians in Seirei are similar to reptiles in that they are very down to earth. However the lifestyles they lead are quite different, they tend to be more social, less savage, and have rich cultures as a result of their habitats.

Amphibians in Seirei includes fish who have conformed to uniformity. They are a category of Amphibia known as fishmen. Amphibians typically welcoming but fierce when the circumstance calls for fierce.

The Great Divides of The Plane of Seirei

Reptilia.

Cold blooded and ruthless, reptiles are considered “The Unchanged Ones” because despite the uniformity, their lifestyles have hardly changed. The primary difference is their ability to coordinate in larger groups for more practiced efficiency in their efforts.

Their wild lifestyles are a result of them not needing to change despite how their bodies do. They are considered savage by other great divides typically. Smaller or more vegetarian reptilefolk, however, are prone to banding together to create larger settlements, which then other larger reptiles may even integrate into, making “Social” groups.
