So today was my last lesson in Montreal and it was the photography lesson so here is the pic ! Leaving for France sunday.
I’m both happy and sad about it but I will never forget this experience ! It was so nice, I’ll come back for sure !
Here’s my last works for my photography lesson ! First one was about doing a triptych of the polytechnic school, while the second one was a 3 hour exam, where we had to show we’d understood the notion of distribution in photography ! Differents atmospheres but they were both fun to do !
Had the chance to go to a Hockey’s match and it was so intense ! It was an awesome match, even if I didn’t know much about this sport I could tell it ! A really nice experience !
Even if I can’t show what I’m doing in our workshop, at least I can show you the pics I took for the photography lesson. The goal was to work with the flash to show the curves and form of a product. And even though I liked the fake stones picture, I though the glass was more accurate for the exercise !
Almost forgot to say that we had quite snowy days the past weeks ! That was sooo beautiful ! Not the best pictures (taken with my phone only, it was too cold for me to take picture with the camera) but at least ti gives you the idea !
Hello ! Haven’t published that much the past few weeks and one of the reason is that we started the second workshop, which is a partnership with MegaBlok and it takes me a lot of time. We also have a confidentiality agreement which means I can’t show you much of the project (well, not until a looooong time) but at least, I can show you the beginning, when we had some fun with the toys the company brought us ! :D
So one of my classes is Photography in Design, and the school is actually lending us Reflex, that is sooo cool ! Even if I’m not use to taking pictures daily, I must say that I love taking pictures with a good device. So I’m having a lot of fun with this class
And well, here is some of the pictures that I’ve taken for the lesson. They might not be perfect but I like them, hope you’ll like it too ! (we couldn’t use Photoshop or lightroom for these exercises, so all the picture are RAWs)
Some personal drawings, working on expressions (one of my weak points)
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, it’s true that we already had snow !
I know it must be something “classic” for the people of Quebec, but snow in october (yes, that video is from late october) is something I’ve never seen before ! And I love snow- so I’m always like a child when I see some !
Hello there ! I haven’t done that much thing in Montreal. Actually, I spend lot of time with some of my family and my childhood, cause I’m lucky enough to have them working or studying in this city. So yeah, those moments are private times that I don’t want to share on the net, obviously xD Adding to that, that I’m not really used to show what I’m doing daily time and yeah, I don’t post a lot of things on this blog ! But I had to share this experience here, cause it was so beautiful ! I went to the Gardens Of Light exhibition (which was in the Botanical Garden), and god that was such a stunning experience ! I was amazed by all the work that had been done on the installations, that was truly amazing ! Even I was cold at the end of the exhibition, i regret nothing about it ! Hope those pictures will be able to show you how beautifull all of this was !
And here comes the mock-up! It’s working quite well, and I think we can have the feeling that I wanted since the beginning: something that looks more like a piece of art than a real lamp. I know it’s quite bold to say that, but that’s my feeling and I’m happy about. :D
Hope this project will convey this feeling to other people than me !
So, now that i’ve shown this project, here is some more 3D modelling with more context this time,so you will understand more, how it works, and how it can be use !
And as promised, here is some more 3D modelling, so that you can see how it looks from other perspectives !
Ooookey ! It’s been already two months since I arrived in Montreal, so it’s much more than time that I start to show you my work and what my journey looks like! Here is the first full project, which was a project about lights and, we had quite the free rein, so I went with a lamp for luxury hotels, or any public building. Here you can see the final results, with some of the research I’ve done before deciding to go with this idea. To sum it, it kind of a light painting, with the pattern that you want on it and you will have the projection of it on the floor. And I named it LUCAD ! Some picture of my mock-up wil come next and more of 3D models too!
