So I'm sure you've all seen the message about buy from independent artists, because that means they can afford to buy christmas presents for their kids Here's the thing.  I'm an independent artist.   I didn't crap out a bunch of kids that I couldn't afford. I don't have a fancy new car, plasma screen TVs, the latest game system. Unlike others, I'm not trying to guilt you into buying my stuff.   I provide a good quality product at reasonable prices, & sound logic. Does this make me deserving of your money?  Of course not. Only you can decide who deserves YOUR money.   If you want to support that person, go ahead.  But don't let people guilt you out of it by using their life choices in that way.  Buy because you like the art, not because you pity the artist
